Swans look for more strength in the midfield

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Interesting that O'Keefe was in the lead pack for the time trials.

He has not been noted for his stamina and fitness in the past, all goes well for this season if we can get him fit enough to play in midfield for long spells.

Can't wait to see what McVeigh looks like at the end of March once he has had a full pre season under him.

Ryan was up there in the leaders group last year. (I know Lizz had the details of this) He has also dropped some Kg's during last year which will also help with his stamina and help him move up a notch or two when it comes to timed trials etc in this pre season. Most people don't notice, but he doesn't stop running all game. He may not have a lot of use of the ball, but he is always making leads and finding space.

IMO he can break into the midfield this year.

The players mentioned as doing well in the run are on the smaller side except for LRT. He is obviously pushing himself hard early in the training cycle which could be an indication that he is in for a really big 2004. I hope so.

i really, really hope so! he really does have the potential to be the inside midfielder that we are crying out for, as was demonstrated by his 2001 EF...
