If all goes well injury-wise next year...

...you could get pretty excited fairly easily....

Imagine these players fully fit all year......

    Jason Ball
    Ben Fixter
    Stephen Doyle
    Michael O'Loughlin

Goodes will be able to play where Roos wants, and the ruck will be an option for him, rather than a requirement

Ball can play around the ground providing a height option when needed.

    Same with Doyle

O'Loughlin can perhaps flourish once again in the forward line and provide yet another forward player who requires one of the oppositions best beackmen every week.

Balance this by perhaps having a supsension of a player we were pretty light hit by injuries as we were always able to back someone up if we had lost someone really crucial think Godes,Hall, Shuable we would have been hard up for reliable replacements.

      Agreed Bleed Red Blood.

Our depth is all inexperienced - could go either way really - if a few of the players out of Ablett, Sundqvist, Powell, James, LRT, Buchanon or Meiklejohn really step we could improve a lot.

If they don't it could go a bit pear shaped.

More power to Roosy for having the courage to go with youth - but our depth is suspect, hopefully those guys and McVeigh, Fixter, Malceski etc are all putting in really big pre-seasons.

Good to see Bevan is fitter maybe he will come out of the woodwork - always becomes interesting towards the end of pre-season with the prospect of really exciting players coming through
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Surely he "flourished" this year. He had a great year as far as I'm concerned. There are several games from the season just gone, that we would not have won without Micky. The West Coast game, the Brisbane game and possibly the last game against Melbourne are a few that spring to mind. He is a star, no question about that. If he's fit, we have one of the best footballers in the caper.

I don't know about Fixter, I have to take other people's word for him as I've never seen him play. But if O'Loughlin and Ball had been fit, it could well have been a Swans-Magpies GF, even without Doyle. In any case I think LRT and Meiklejohn have shown enough promise to have me salivating for next year, especially LRT.
And if I was to put a number on my Swans jersey, it would be 19. I think he does some amazing things on field, and can be the most exciting player we have.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
