      We just passed.

So that's Rodgers, McGlone, Hunt, Taylor and Potter. Reasonably happy with that - especially Potter and McGlone.

No one took Will Gayfer or Michael Johnson, that is a turn up for the books.

Johnson got picked up by Freo in PSD. No luck for Gayfer though.

I am very happy with the draft - McGlone back and Hunt - Hunt to me showed some great promise when watching him last year. Also Potter maybe a great asset after reading many of the previous comments on him. Don't know anything about Luke ??? but crafty picking and keeping to youth as well as going with the one you know - well done Roos and his team.
                  Love those Swans

I am not sure why the club put you through all of that, but if you put your head down this year I think you may be able to make it.
                    Good luck.

Well you certainly can't criticise the Swans with not sticking to a strategy. They're obviously very serious about this Youth Policy.

From my count we have (roundabout) 19 out of 44 total players (nearly half) with 2 years or less of senior football experience:

Rookies: Rogers, McGlone, Hunt, Potter, Taylor, Bevan

Seniors: Willoughby, Schmidt, Buchanan (sort of), Ericksen, Matt Davis, LRT, MJ, Dempster, Malceski, McVeigh, Powell (actually 3 yr but injured a lot in Yr1), Schneider, Thewlis.

With only 25 players remaining I expect we'll see a fair bit of some of them.

I read somewhere that Gayfer performed poorly at the draft camp.

The inclusion of Hunt, L Taylor and possibly Rogers goes a long way to explaining why the SWANS didn't go for higher profile defender selections in the ND. Hunt's a real surprse IMO. The Swans must be satisfied he's over his injury worries and can deliver the potential they thought he had, two years ago. This is a good sign.

Becuase they had to, all clubs must make at least 3 spaces open on their senior list at years end for the draft.

As McGlone was in his second rookie year he had to be moved up or cut from the rookie list. Becuase they really wanted to retain Amon and didn't lose anyone else they had no room to promote.

So McGlone comes back onto the rookie list for another year or two.

He'll be on the RL until about round 12, when Rowan will retire/be pushed and Scotty will take his place.
