    Roos on Foxfooty

    Said

Delayed start to pre-season will mean many players are nursed.

Does not expect to be really ready until the early part of the season proper.

Low expectations on pre-seasons games - expecting to play lots of young guys and 'nurse' many players through the pre-season
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Good news, this was our tactics last season and look at how we went.
    Once was, now elsewhere

I am doubtful that it's good news, the preference must surely be to have all players fit and ready during pre-season.

But it is good news that they seem to be intent on managing it properly.

Never seen the point in experienced players running around for weeks in the pre-season.

I mean really are Paul Williams, Jason Ball, Maxfield, Barry going to 'learn' during pre-season games. A bit of fitness is all.

Does anyone really remember that we lost by twelve goals to Brisbane in the pre-season comp or lost to Carlton at Coff Harbour?

Rest 'em hopefully it will be a long season.

i agree with that. Give the newer recruits a run, as they are the ones that will benefit most from the experience. Also may give the coaching staff a glimpse of who is ready to step up to the seniors.

Be kind to us this year, oh mighty Injury Gods.
