    A frightening thought

    Terrifying prospect really
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Telstra's allocation of internet rights money to clubs is determined by the amount of traffic on club websites; more hits equals more dollars.
Should we all be hitting the Swans site a lot more, even if there isn't much going on there?

IIRC the arrangement is that the clubs are allocated a proportion of a set pool, depending on how many hits their site gets as a % of all clubs' hits.

Which is good in theory - decent content will not only get more hits in the short-term, but also have people coming back regularly.

But in reality the Bulldogs could run a great site, whilst Collingwood a @@@@e one, and by sheer weight of supporter numbers Collingwood will get more hits and therefore more cash.

As long as the Swans site is under Tel$tra control it will continue to be a shocker - I mean how hard is it to draw up a text table with correctly-sized columns???

The Swans site is hopeless - I never bother to go there. This site is so much better. The official site needs to be updated more often as well as have some "gossipy" type articles. Maybe someone could volunteer to help Telstra.

They need discussion of fascinating issues such as most famous jumper numbers. That'll keep the crowd numbers up in the off-season. Also jokes about cutting umbilical cords; those are awesome.

if we bump up the numbers the club will not get a real impression of the quality of the site and never try to work out why nobody visits it... and never fix it...
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
