    Well Swannies - I expect you all think your in for a good year. So do I.

    If any of you have any desire to write footy stories, write match reviews, pass on gossip; or contribute anything else literary that is related to footy - australianrules.com.au needs you. This will be our fourth year in which time we have covered an awful lot of of material about Australian football in all sorts of leagues, all over Australia.

    Unfortunately we have never had much material about the Swans. To contribute all you have to do is send your story to to the editor at australianrules.com.au Just go to the website to find the address.

    No-one at australianrules.com.au gets paid anything, but if we can figure out a way of getting a revenue stream the contributors will be the first cab off the rank. australianrules is all about the fighting for the public ownership of football. And about enjoying the game.

          This could get really long winded and not particularly relevant to this forum. ....thinking.... so - trawl through australianrules.com.au for the context for that sentence instead of me answering here.

          Better still, forget that and contribute articles about Sydney matches or players this year. Any photos are good. For example - if somone wanted to wrap up that thread about the best ever Sydney team and submit that it would be great.

          And what would also be really good would be if someone would have a go at a pre season feature about the year ahead for the Swans.

              Is Phil Doyle still writing for your site? He seems to have been rather quiet for a long time on here and BigFooty; and I haven't had any emails from the Katoomba Mountain Lions for ages.

                  Well I cant remember exactly the last time Phil submitted something, but as far as I know he is.

                  He writes very good stuff and I think Australian Football in NSW is well served by this guy. He deserves some thanks. Part of the fundamental rationale behind australianrules.com.au is to give a picture of the whole game across the country, and not just the Melbourne centric myopic view that is often trotted out by sections of the Melbourne media.
