Why is it all the threads on this site seem to get viewed hundreds of times but only get a handful of replies?

I quite often check out a thread more than once to see what folk have to say, if I'm really interested I'll post a reply, if not I'll continue to read.
Also I find that if I can't add anything to the discussion or my thought have already been expressed I won't bother responding.

I read ALL the threads and enjoy them very much - so please keep posting them. I sometimes reply but often think twice as when I first joined I wrote something really innocently (about liking living in Melbourne) and It was on!! I got nasty replies and one particular poster went beserk. I was very upset as I was only trying to help someone feel better. Maybe other people don't want to risk being rubbished so don't post but still enjoy reading them. Anyway thanks again to all the regular posters as it keeps me up to date with what is happening as well as letting me know other people's opinions.---------||--ANNE--||----------Comment

This is one of the wonderful things. The length of a thread can often indicate the level of interest/passion/nease about a certain issue or topic.Originally posted by BayseysLeftBoot

So people prefer postings that are to do with which player should play where etc. Some tend to prefer being involved in more abstract topics such as the amount of games in Melbourne, treatment of members, atmosphere at matches, a social club etc. Things that have little to do with liniment and goalposts, but are more often than not things that supporters are very passionate about.
I just post what comes into my mind a lot of the time. If there is something I feel passionate about, I'll often post 3-4 in succession replying to others' posts about this and that.
