Fox to put cameras in the middle of Cheer Squads

    Eavesdropping on cheer squads
    By Peter Ker
    February 2, 2004

Fox Footy channel could take viewers into the middle
of the "official cheer squad" seating sections at AFL
matches via a new broadcast feature.

The feature is one of several being trialled by the
pay television network as it inaugurates the Sports
Active side of its football coverage. If introduced,
Sports Active will allow viewers to produce their own
coverage of matches by choosing camera angles and
    replays via their remote control.

Fox Footy chief Rick McKenna said variable audio was
being examined, with one feature enabling viewers to
turn off the commentary and listen to the crowd noise
    or cheer squads.

As long as they stay away from Bay22 at the SCG
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Will they set up some speakers so we can add some voice to the Squad from down south? Interactive TV at it's best.

Will there be subtitles on the screen for the Collingwood cheer squad segments?

No, but you will use a "Parent Lock" option.

On the replays in Melbourne there will be a hell of a lot of bleeping.

If they could just give us the option to swing the camera at toothless grins it would be most productive.

sorry sorry sorry... I was joking, I seem to recall some talk from a while ago about yourself Robbie and Diego getting a little excited (I think at the Prelim Final?)
