    Ok there were some positives....but

    Nicks - very ordinary

Mcpherson - similar story, I like Frosty but sometimes he plays like an episode of Some Mothers Do ave 'em

    Kirk - sometimes frightening

Warfe - on the comeback trail but looked like it will be hard for him to come back - shocking kicks

Why start a new thread - keep it all in the same one. This is pointless.

I thought the Lions beat us in every aspect. It is disturbing that the main contributors were once again the old firm - williams, cresswell, maxfield etc.

Schauble - Shocker! He needs big improvements in his game. Lynch tore him apart.

Goodes - Played well again, looks like the ruck is his best bet

Mathews - Didn't get enough of it, and when he did didn't do much with it

Bazza - Lack of opportunites, every time the ball went to him there were at least 3 or 4 Lions covering him.

Schneider - Looked promising, I liked the way he attacked the footy.

Umpires - Just too bad to mention

Warfe and McPherson seemed to be the 2 players most people wouldn't have minded trading at the end of last year, so that is a bit of a worry (that they are still struggling)

Nicks had a terrible year last year, so let's hope he doesn't carry that form through.

Having said that it's only pre season, but still, they are 3 that I'll be watching...

Add Matthews, J. Bolton and Seymour to that list. Time to deliver or depart.

I still stand by my comments on Jude Bolton. I admire his hardness at the ball but still a hack.

Last week Kirk, McPherson and Bolton (J) all had pretty good games. This week they didn't.

Just as they didn't become stars last week, nor should they be confined to the bin for this season quite yet. We already know none of them is a star, but they've all played some decent footy for Sydney in the past. Why not wait a week (or six or seven) before we completely damn them.

Not saying it will necessarily happen to us this year, but last pre-season Essendon, Melbourne and Collingwood all looked like complete rabbles. Come the start of the H&A season they looked like well-drilled, enthusiastic teams capable of playing some darn good footy.

At least MacPherson can kick straight, which is something Bolton can't do. In the first qtr, the only decent delivery into the forward line was a beautiful kick from the centre by Frosty, while under decent pressure, straight to Hall. Bolton's kicking was woeful.

Sorry JAB but his kicking has never been good and has not improved. His endeavour is terrific, but its not enough.

JAB - just as you are allowed to think that Daniel McPherson doesn't deserve to be on the list, others are allowed to think the same of Jude Bolton.

A bad game?!?! I'd say it's more than 50% of his total at this stage. People bag McPherson, but he's been more useful over his career than Bolton.
