I read this with interest. In small print it says that for the games against Sydney Port Adelaide and Collingwood the GA area is all reserved ticket. I'd assume that would mean that it would be all numbered seats extra.

I'm scared of red tape getting in the way of us all booking a group together as we did for example at the Port final. Cathy said she is unable to chase up monies at such short notice. So to get over the problem I am prepared to go out on a limb and make a block reservation through the club before the cut-off date with is THIS FRIDAY.

I'll call the club tomorrow to see if I can get away with everything with the club. I am fearful they may be more obstinate that they need to be, but I'll try my luck. I want a large group TOGETHER in Brisbane, and will go to extreme length to ensure that happens.

What I'm thinking of doing is putting my cheque account details on this forum whereby people can simply go to a St George branch and deposit it. However to do this I would require you all to do several things. You MUST email me before Friday with a confirmation number of your deposit. And this confirmation MUST come to me by Friday at lunch time so I can finalise numbers. I will only do this under this method so I can put faces to names and more succintly confirmation numbers. I will NOT be accepting cash in person, and how you get your ticket is up to you. I can bring it for you in Brisbane. Or you can organise a time to come and pick it up from me after work in town or at my home in Newtown.

I'm still scared the office might stand in the way to my plan. So before I give out my details I will need to check with them first. I'll try and update you all on the latest by lunch time tomorrow. At the very worst I'll give my details to Trinette at the Lions hersef directly. I may well be calling her in any case to guarantee we get 40-50 seats roped off for us. However it would heaps easier if the club came to the party and helped us out. Because they would be the first ones to dish out praise when there is a big group waving flags and chanting behind the goals.

Otherwise if you ARE concerned and want to guarantee tickets for yourself BEFORE I do everything, you can go to ticketmaster7.com.au and book in **BAY 15** GATE 8.

I'll let you know what I can arrange by tomorrow, as I have a couple of other small problems I have to clear up firstly.

Here is a mock list of all the people I know who are going to Brisbane. Please add yourself AND THE AMOUNT OF TICKETS YOU WILL BE WANTING to this list, so I can have an idea of numbers.

    ME, JF x 1
    RobbieAndo x 1
    Boofhead x1
    Alex E x 1
    JS x 1
    Des (the J and Annette, I'd assume) x 3
    Mike B x 1
    Gemma x 1
Bam Bam x 1 (Or was that more?)

PLEASE ADD YOURSELF TO THIS LIST.

JF that's right, 3 for me.

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

            Guys,
This is the latest in relation to the Cheer Squad allocation of tickets. Cathy Marney has contacted Belinda at the club and basically said that we want a whole group of Swans supporters sitting with us. So all is cool, and you can book all your General Admission tickets with the Cheer Squad allocation behind the goals where all the fun will be. All you need to do is CALL either Belinda or Katie at the office IN SYDNEY on 02 9339-9130 and give your credit card details and your tickets will be sent out to you by the Swans. They won?t be taking bookings via email, so you will have to be calling the office here, EVEN IF YOU LIVE IN MELBOURNE OR ELSEWHERE (Swansbest?)

Too bloody easy (or ?bloody easy? if you happen to live in Mulgrave. :OP ), I say. I?m very very relieved that sanity has prevailed and that the club will help us get a nice little group up in Brisbane for what should be a pretty darn good night at the footy.

            Cheers everyone

            JF
PS:- Robbie, I got a ticket for you. Either we can meet before the game or I can post it to you.

PS:- If you need accommodation, email me at work at [email protected]. I?ll see what I can do, as we may be able to get a booking as a group at a place like the Ibis if we all book together.

              Great work Jules.

With my ticket, just get in contact with me over the emails. Did you get the email I sent you via your yahoo account???

It appears that there may be a slight misunderstanding in relation to the above comments.

I wish to re-interate that both Katie and Belinda in the Membership department were both helpful and professional in their dealings with myself, and processed my request for tickets with minimal fuss or delay. I even had my address details changed as well.

If I inferred that something other than this occurred then this is incorrect on my part.

So call them and nab your tix. It will be great that we all can together and be vocal and colourful in support of our team.

No JS, been starting to worry about that issue myself. Do you want me to check with the Membership Department. (Hi Paul, by the way!)

I also want to have my new red members cap by Saturday. (Even though if the Sydney Kings win on Wednesday and Friday, I might wear that instead.)

PS:- By the way Gemma, you have a bag full of flags in the back of your dad's car? You want me to take them up to Brizzie; I'd prefer to.

                        Hi all,

It's that time again. I got back from Antarctica last week and called the club to be told the club's allocation had all been sent back to the Gabba already (2 weeks before the event is standard, I was told).

I looked at where I sat with the Cheersquad at the Gabba last year and booked seats in Section 18, (row g 125-128). It looks like that should be just across the corridor from the other Swans supporters. Please tell me that's right?

Now I need another ticket in the same area. Any ideas?

See you at one or other of the pubs mentioned near the Gabba - I won't arrive until about 4.30. It'll be good to see everyone again.

I too was a bit worried about the tickets not arriving. I phoned Katie this monring and she confirmed the Cheer Squad allocated tickets had been sent express post on Friday 19th, so with any luck we should have them today!!!!

But PLEASE CONFIRM that you do have them in your possession before Saturday. Annette in Brisbane will dump them in her car when we get up there.
