Would want to pull their fingers out

Whilst you can be sympathetic some of the younger guys would really want to show something in the next couple of weeks.

Ablett and Sundqvist at the top ofn that list.

I also think we shouldn't underestimate Cresswell's loss effecting us around the packs. I think Roosy should give Schmidt a go as we may have no choice but to use him.

I thought Schmidt and Rogers showed the most composure of the young brigade yesterday.

McVeigh looks good running with the ball and has a lovely kicking action but I think he needed to hit a few more targets (who didnt yesterday).

Some of the kicking was absolutely shocking! As soon as Sydney got the ball, they put it back into the hands of Carlton.

Terribly disappointed in Ablett in particular. After all the hype after the finals last year... was expecting a heck of a lot more from him.

at the ground - they didnt look that bad

the major plus yesterday was that we beat them in the clearances!!! thats a HUGE plus... i dont care if we couldnt hit targets or anything but if the kids can get some clearances against a first-string side, there obviously has been some work done over the preseason, YAY!!!

I noticed that Ablett likes to spend a lot of time on the deck. While he received rave reviews following his crawling efforts during last year's finals, maybe he just doesnt know how to stand up. He really looks like the weight of the world is no his shoulders. Did you see how hard he concentrated during his shot at goal. This guy needs to relax a little, maybe he is trying too hard.

Having watched the game on Austar and reading some of the threads on here, I can't believe how harsh some of you are on Daniel Hunt. For me he was one of our better youngsters, along with Mcveigh, Rogers and Bevan. One player who really needs to have a look at himself, is Saddington. His form over the past couple of seasons has gone backwards, and judging by yesterdays performance he will again struggle this season.

Having been at the game and sitting right near swans bench - was impressed with one of our so called new recruits Brad Seymour - he seemed very into his new position and carried it out extremely well. Encouraging to our players and right on top of it all.

Daniel Hunt did play well and hard, as did McVeigh great kicking for his build but needs more beefing up or not so easy to knock over.
Ablett puts his 100% plus into all his game and obviously sometimes is trying too hard to impress but like his effort.
Rogers was always giving his best.
Potter wasn't bad - Schmidt is okay with strength.
Saddington oh dear - he isn't going well at all

I am worried about our season - missing lots of things yesterday not just the midfield
                  Love those Swans

Our season in the reserves grade? Taking yesterday as an indicator is stupidity.

I like that Hunt had distinctive facial hair making him easy to recognize amongst the sea of new faces.

... and blonde hair. The amount of times I confused Potter, Bevan, Sundqvist, Schneider and Schmidt with each other yesterday... If they're going to dye their hair, I wish they'd go purple or something.

just wait until we've got O'Keefe, Bolton 1 & 2, Maxfield, Buchannan, Fixter and all of the other blondies on the field at the same time and then see how confused you are

We've had Swans Blondes in the Cheer Squad for years?
