game time 2 and Cresswell unimpressed with Davis

I visited a Pie site to see if I could get some info. on our game. According to their info., our match will start at 2pm.

While there I noticed in a preview thread that one of the posters on the site knows Cresswell and said he is very unimpressed with Davis's attitude. He expanded by saying that punting and racing were his passion and he treats footy as a part-time job not really putting in on the job. He has hamstring problems and is still beset with groin worries. This is a concern.

Would be somewhat cynical of anybody who "knows" anybody, especially when it's a Pie fan and the subject is Nick Davis.

I would not trust anything that a Pie fan says on a messageboard, especially when they're renowned for hating players that have left the club with a passion. I also wouldn't trust anybody that says they 'know' someone.

From all my reports Cressa and Nick are great mates. You just have to read Nick's profile to know he loves betting and to know he is naturally lazy! lol.

It amazes me how many people on webboards are close personal friends of AFL stars!!! I am sure the 'stars' would be appreciative of their 'friends' posting what they supposedly say!!!

This type of 'information' on a Magpies board hardly suprises me. I am not sure some of them will ever get over Nick leaving them.

I agree leave Nick alone his is happy here in Sydney and what he has given us is good - if he gives us more great - if only all of the players on Sunday gave Nick's efforts - that are good - we would of done better.

Cresswell and Davis are mates - so "jump off" whoever commented on Davis supposedly from Cresswell - unbelievable - but typical of B........ Collingwood.

when will people realise that snowy is actually a collingwood supporter and only posts in regards to everything nick davis... NB: im not trying to make this a personal attack as i understand being labelled a collingwood supporter is very offensive, but i thought other people should realise this

Cressa and Davis owned a 2 year old up there in Sydney last year. It's name was Fluffy Duck, supposedly a highly promising youngster. It was well backed at its only start ( I had a few dollars on it my self) but it went amiss, and was never to race again.

Excuse me, I posted on another issue just last week. Maybe I post more on him as being based in Melbourne I had seen more of his caree than those based up north. I don't post much over summer as not much is really happening and generally I am very busy at work. I go to all the Melbourne matches though. I watched on Sunday and wouldn't read too much into it but was disappointed with Saddo who has been an ongoing annoyance with me in case you haven't noticed. I thought the Davis view might interest some as Cresswell is highly respected. And I don't always believe what is fed to the public or becomes obvious to the public. I thought the person who seems to only post about Davis is Ruda Awakening from my observation.

Good average footballer, yes. And respected as an excellent clubman who made it known he was to retire at the end on the season before the season started. Was selling up and going to Brisbane, but ended up in Geelong.

Always seemed like a good bloke to me.

But I haven't heard too many earth shattering, mind bending rocket science comments attributed to Cressa over the years.

There were also some who had little respect for him after the 2002 Season regarding the trip away to Tassie.

I would suggest if Cressa did make such a comment he was merely taking the piss out of a no brain Collingwood supporter.

Hmm...

Just had a look through your archived posts... out of 84 posts that turned up on the search, 32 relate in some way to Nick Davis.

Another 12 relate to, or are solely about, Collingwood.

Personally, I don't care one way or the other... if you're a Collingwood fan, you're a decent one. But they are damning numbers...

I have often commented on the salary cap issues relating to Collingwood and other Melbourne based clubs. Sometimes it is instructive to hear another perspective as many here live in Sydney, just like we in Melbourne can become insular about the issues from a Victorian perspective.

Oh and not so surprising that I know a lot about Collingwood when most of my mates follow them. Suppose that makes me to be pitied.
