    Aaron Rogers

Impressed by his game time - which I only picked up from the tape. He is of a great AFL build and seemed to know what to do most of the time. Wasn't put off by opponent and certainly gave his opponent some curry at times.
Aaron seems to be one guy certainly capable of stepping up.
    Love those Swans

Unfortunately he is only rookie listed. Daniel Hunt, another who I thought done ok is also only rookie listed.

      I liked his game.

He's a local boy, played with St George, got drafted by the Dees, spent 2 years in the ressies (Sandringham). Aparently played up forward in a semi and kicked 5 from 7 touches or something like that.

You would have thought given the crap year the Dees had last year, they might have given him a go.

      (thanks TD)

Glad he's back in Sydney and with more AFL experience would be a very handy defender right now.

I agree with all of this but yet to be convinced he doesn't have problems with his kicking game. Time will tell, of course.

Jury's out but one to keep an eye on.

he had two pretty bad kicks during the game but both of them was when he was pulled off the ball slightly

Rogers seem a tad too sluggish to me. Perhaps it is so because he was playing on Fevola. His leap certainly is not as good as Fevola.

I am quite impressed with Meiklejohn. He seems to try real hard. His recovery has improved from last year's. Wont be a star but could be a good average reliable player.

Despite of his efforts, I still dont think Buchanan is good enough.

I've been telling you for years now that the Swans could do worse than Aaron back since before Dees. I noticed he was the only player as they came off TS -going through the gate- to take a final look at the celebrating Blues and supporters. Love to know what went through his mind at that point.

He was pretty poised under constant pressure. Put the rest of the Prelim team together and him down back, and what you will get is one very solid tall defender, which to a person, on this site, has said we need.

Very handy pick up but sadly someone has to have a long term injury or retire to open up a spot. The reality is, it is bound to happen.
