Surely that's the longest injury list in the comp.

I think Ball, Doyle and O'Loughlin are a bit of a concern. They will be going into round 1 very underdone.

What does this mean? Knocked out on sunday? Out forever?

        Everyone else has a timeframe.

These guys are a major worry.

Last year they played 37/96 games (39%), and over the past two years they have played 65/184 (35%). If we get 50 games out of the four of them in total this year we'll be doing well, and that's a pretty poor return.

I found that suprising as well. Does that mean definitely out of this game and 1 week, or something completely different?

I'm no doctor, but does anyone else think it just a little strange that some of these players are enduring such extraordinary recovery times?

Ball - 2-3 weeks. Was injured on July 27 last year, from memory. Total shoulder reconstructs take you out for about 16 weeks. Would have thought he would have been back in full training early in the New Year, if not earlier.

Doyle - 3-4 weeks. This guy returned from his unfortunate kneecap fracture to play in last year's finals after being out for 20 weeks. Wasn't aware of any injuries sustained in the finals. Five plus months later, he's still not ready.

Magic - 3-4 weeks. Suffered a hamstring injury in R22 last year. Has had 6 months to recover from that as well as to rest his dicky knee.

Nicksy - resuming "running" this week. Has had 6 plus months to rest his troubled back even after he ditched his girlfriend.

Don't mean to set off alarms, but I'm reading CHRONIC into all the injury reports for these players. If they're not ready to play yet, who knows when they'll be on the paddock next.

Apart from Ball who I understood has suffered a minor setback but still should be OK for Rd.1 and whose injuries have been unrelated, the other three definately fit that category.

Magic's knee's have been dicky for years and will continue to be so. It will come down to whatever miracles they can pull to get him up week after week. Wouldn't surprise me to see him start to miss trips interstate a la Lynch in the coming years.

                      Ditto for Nicks.

As for Doyle, beginning of the end for him methinks.
                      Hope I'm wrong

                        me too.

O'Loughlin will either be 3-4 weeks all year, much like Kelly was a few years ago, or he will play without any real injury.

Hard to tell if they are playing games or not.

Sadly, I don't think they are with any injuries

Didn't some of these guys have surgery after last season, which would account for most of the setbacks in recovery time?

15 players listed as injured. In all the years that I have followed the Swans I can not recall such a long list and we have yet to play a real competition game .
