    Squad of 28 named

Sydney: Barry Hall, Nick Davis, Jarrad McVeigh, Craig Bolton, Josh Willoughby, Ben Fixter, Paul Williams, Stuart Maxfield, Nic Fosdike, Tadgh Kennelly, Luke Ablett, Leo Barry, Jason Saddington, Jude Bolton, Sean Dempster, Jared Crouch, Mark Powell, Lewis Roberts-Thomson, Brett Kirk, Amon Buchanan, Daniel Hunt, Adam Goodes, Scott McGlone, Nick Malceski, Paul Bevan, James Meiklejohn, Matthew Davis, Aaron Rogers.

    Things to note....

    Schauble given a rest
Schneider given a rest (Hamstring soreness, too)
Kids Potter and Schmidt not required
    Kennelly's Groin must be OK
    Fixter's ankle must be alright.

Paul Williams and Nick Davis come in.
Mark Powell seems to be back early from injury
Ablett and LRT given another chance to show they should be picked.

Not surprised to see McVeigh and Willoughby in again

Nice to see McGlone back from concussion v Bombers
    Malceski in for Sundqvist. Mmmmmm??!!
Hunt, Dempster and Mathew Davis get another run
I'm very keen to see more of Bevan and Rogers. They could be ny underdog love children this year.

Buchanan will be looking to get a spot in the 22 for rd 1.
I'm interested that Goodes and C. Bolton keep getting a run as they seem to be in good form and I might have keep them in cotton wool.

That's about it for my thoughts
    Go Swannies!!!

PS that means the injuries left (in order of seriousness) are...

Heath James - Concussion v Carlton - Indefinite
    Ryan O?Keefe - Calf strain - 1 week

That was one of the best posts ever sharp9.

      Very easy reading.

Also, the injuries look a bit better now.

Of major concern is Ball and Doyle for me.

I have a very bad feeling about O'Loughlin this year.

I pray that I am wrong....

Why? He had an interrupted pre-season last year with his knees and was never really fit, one suspects. Didn't stop him turning on the magic at times. Even during games he can look completely lame at times and you think he is gone for the night, only to kick 3 goals in a flash.

We know his knees are going to get better, but with a decent run of luck there's no reason to suppose he can't contribute has much as last year - if not more.

Hall said on radio recently that MOL will be nursed due to his damaged knee. He will struggle to get through the year and will require careful management.

O'Loughlin's knees had to be carefully managed last year as well. By the looks of things he always going to have some form of knee problem and we just have to hope that the medical staff can take care fo Magic so he doesn't injure himself every second week. Last year's preseason was terrible for Magic and he had a solid season last year. Also, good to see a couple more of the more senior players in the side for tomorrow and its good to see that Fixter's included.

              Mick will be fine.

He was playing excellent footy at the end of last season. The round 22 match against Melb - he absolutely killled them before he did his hammy. Didn't seem like his knee was hindering him that day, with a season of footy behind him.

                Why?
                I have no idea.

                It is a feeling.
                I can't control it

I am wondering how much Mick's hammy has spooked Roosy?

We all regret that he wasn't rested when the game was well and truly run, but what if he rested Mick and not Goodesy and then he did a hammy or whatever...

From this weeks squad this is the best line up I could think of. Hopefully Roos starts the top liners on the field this week. I want to see Goodes, Hall and Williams play at least 3 quarters and Kennelly, Jude Bolton and Barry at least a half.

B: Jason Saddington Aaron Rogers Mark Powell
HB: Tadgh Kennelly Craig Bolton Leo Barry
C: Jarrad McVeigh Paul Williams Stuart Maxfield
HF: Jared Crouch Barry Hall Nic Fosdike
F: Amon Buchanan Lewis Roberts-Thomson Nick Davis
R: Adam Goodes Jude Bolton Brett Kirk
Int: Josh Willoughby Ben Fixter Luke Ablett Sean Dempster
Daniel Hunt Scott McGlone Nick Malceski Paul Bevan
                    James Meiklejohn Matthew Davis
                    Once was, now elsewhere

                      Just stick Saddington on Tarrant.

                      She'll be right!

Luke Ablett needs to impress a little today, can anyone keep an eye on what role is expected of him?

I feel that Roosy will be rotating a lot of player through the middle today and I expect that it won't be the regular line up.
Tadgh and Nick Davis, Saddo and C Bolton for a while... and other options to see what the drive factor is.... Like last week - many changes - endevour and G&D day...

Who will put their 110 % effort in Vs the result of game, match!

No spare ruck again..... Not what I would have hoped... Goodesy gets another workout! (LRT and James Meiklejohn to assist only)

Play James Meiklejohn as a KKP... to see if he can get his hands on the ball.

                        Go the Swans
