    Aaron Rogers

    deserves his own thread.

he will definately play senior footy this year if he keeps up that form.
I was willing the ball down to the Wobbles forward line to see what he had to offer, and he never dissappointed.

    well done.

A had a very solid hit out yesterday, only making the one mistake all day that should of directly resulted in a goal to Collingwood, but lucky for him didn't. I think personally he is now the best option for CHB on the list, however at the moment we just don't have space for him on our list. Thus meaning we either have to have a player retire (Warfe????) or sadly have a player get injuried and then miss 8 weeks.

Maybe a season in Canberra would do him the world of good before exploding next year for us. However if we get the chance promote him.

      ***Nicks***

There may well be an injury, but if Warfe or Nicks were to net be selected for the first 10 senior games, and were able to retire with all their pay, then they might jump at the canch.

      haha

seriously, it's easy to get carried away after 1 good game.

Perhaps Roos will give him a fair amount of time on Friday and we can have another good look.

Lots of threads get started complaining about players, well, about Saddo mainly lol, but I just thought he should get some small recognition for his effort.

You never know, at his 2006 Brownlow speach, he may just be thanking "CTS for his words of encouragement"

He looked good, but.......played on C Cloke who did take some marks. Had some errant disposal.

That said was very impressive, surprising agility.

The rookie list thing will be a problem - unless Warfe's injury is chronic, on his injury history this is possible.

I really wouldn't like to see us cop a long-term injury

Heath James is already listed as indefinite. I guarantee within a week or two of the season starting someone will be on the long term injury list. Sad as it is I think Doyle, James and Fixter will not become players - they are just too injury prone ie Wade Chapman . I hope I am wrong.

Melbourne want to promote one of their rookies - but cannot afford the $15,000 it would cost.

Can we not promote Aaron - it may be worth the $15,000????
            Love those Swans

Off the topic a bit, but.... watching Sensationl Swans, how good was Wade all season in 1996.

The man was just behind The Champ for best midfielder for that year IMO. He could sniff the nut out easily and deliver brilliantly inside 50 consistently. Didn't have the freakish skill, but had the class.

I'm not into looking at player lists and incidental league rules. I let all you other nuffies do that for me

But are we a player short on our list this year? And if we are, would it be possible to fill that list with a rookie like Rogers? Food for thought.

                  Tooth,

I believe we are playing with out max playing list of 38 plus 6 rookies - therefore no vacancies.

If we were a player short on this like last season than yes we could promote a rookie listed player to fill that spot, however sadly this season we have a full season list, thus to get Rogers on the list we either need to delist a player (a la St Kilda last season with Capuano), have a player retire mid season (a la Schwass) or have a senior listed player go down with a long term injury (The rule is the injury must mean the players misses at least 8 weeks, thus the club can put the injuried player on the long term injury list and then replace him with a rookie listed player. However if the player put on the LTIL comes back before the season endd, then the rookie promoted must go back on the rookie list and then can't play for us from then on)

It's only a matter of time before a spot is created. I guess Warfe and Doyle are potential candidates because of their chronic injuries.

Though I'm hoping Doyle plays close to a full season.
