Squad of 26 to play Kangaroos

Barry Hall, Nick Davis, Ryan O'Keefe, Craig Bolton, Paul Williams, Stuart Maxfield, Nic Fosdike, Tadhg Kennelly, Heath James, Luke Ablett, Leo Barry, Jason Saddington, Jude Bolton, Andrew Schauble, Jason Ball, Jared Crouch, Mark Powell, Brett Kirk, Amon Buchanan, Daniel Hunt, Jarrad Sundqvist, Scott McGlone, Nick Malceski, Paul Bevan, James Meiklejohn, Aaron Rogers.

Squad of 26 (two less than last week).

    Things to note:
    Goodes given rest
    LRT minor injury
McVeigh not playing....Curious. Does he need a rest? Has he done enough to be selected for rd 1, maybe?
    Willoughby is also not playing
Dempster and Matt Davis are not playing

    O'Keefe comes in (Yeaaaay!!)
Ball in for his first game (Yeaaaay!!)
    James back from concussion (Yeaaaay!!)
    Sundqvist gets another go
    And Schauble comes back in.

All the certain starters who play in the midfield
are playing (Kirk, Williams, Maxfield, Bolton, Fosdike, Crouch, Davis, O'Keefe) except Schneider and Mathews, who are injured

So the injuries left are (4 weeks from Rd 1, by the way, in injury parlance....)

Tim Schmidt - Calf strain - 1 week
    Josh Thewlis - Groin - 1 week
    Stephen Doyle - Knee - 1-2 weeks
    Michael O'Loughlin - Knee - 1-2 weeks
    Adam Schneider - Hamstring v Carlton - 2 weeks
Ben Fixter - Hamstring strain v Collingwood - 3-4 weeks
Rowan Warfe - Hip - Rehabilitating
Nicks is not listed on the injury list for some reason.

Good to see Ball and O'Keefe back. Solid squad, should be able to get something out of the match tactic wise, other than that we should be at full force come Round 1 which is nice.

Also I'm over the moon, because my boss gave me Friday off after working on my day off yesterday, so I'll be there and be able to report back on Friday Night.
    Once was, now elsewhere

Nicks only started competitive training this week and is not ready for selection at this stage.

Should get run next week if he gets through training.

Do you mean that as far as you are aware Nicks is physically capable of playing tomorrow?
The more mature bodies available as back-up the better I say. I've been watching a few of last year's games and he wasn't too bad. He'd definitely lost "touch" since his golden days and his kicking for goal was average, but he was still handy.

Don't mean to get all anal about grammar, but didn't you mean the singular "golden day" rather than the plural "golden days".

My understanding is that his back still precludes him at this stage of one on one drills but he is running and close to full participation.

Would expect if he can do a full week next week then he will be given a game to press his claims.

                    Care to explain?

This is a public forum, and the word is not obscene, blasphemous, nor defamatory in itself.

I'm generally not looking to upset anyone who isn't a Collingwood supporter, but your request confuses me.

The word does have obscene connotations. To draw a connection between the Nazis and a football related issue is unnesessary and ignorant, not to mention offensive.
