I joined the Premiership Club(extra $75) on the understanding that I was one of 4000 who were absolutely guaranteed a GF Ticket if we made it.

That is I simply rock up to Ticketmaster at the alloted time, wait my turn in the queue, get my ticket, no hassles, and walk away with a dirty great grin on my face.

My only concern when buying the tickets was whether I would beat the rush to be in the first 4000.

This week I received said membership. When I read the enclosed brochure it says under "Grand Final Ticket Guarantee" - All Premiership and Combined Club members will "HAVE FIRST OPPORTUNITY TO PURCHASE A GRAND FINAL TICKET".

It does not say I am guaranteed a ticket, only that I have first opportunity to buy. Am I reading something into this that I should not be?

Are there sufficient tickets set aside for these categories or not. If it is an absolute guarantee then why hasn't it been clearly stated?

Hopefully someone can clear this up for me?

A bit of feedback on the brochure.
The authors need to take some grammar lessons and should be reminded that you proof read these things for spelling errors before getting them printed.

Easy part first yes there are enough tickets for the premiership and combind club members to buy tickets if they choose to.

As to the wording well that is true, you have the first opportunity to buy your ticket if we make it. If you don't buy your ticket on the set time/date you lose your chance at a ticket and any left over tickets available after the premiership and combind club members will be released to the remaining club members the next day.

Nico I think that you will be fine.
The way I think it works is that you and the others in the 4000 will get your chance to buy a ticket ahead of any other member and since there is about 9000 to 13000 tickets normally avalable to club members you wont miss out unless you don't buy a ticket in the time those 4000 members get their chance to.

Nico, just reiterating what the other have said, at this stage you are gauranteed a ticket becuase the allocation is somewhere between 9,000 to 13,00 to the competing clubs and premiership club at 4,000 members get first dibs.

However, it is the AFL not the Swans that allocate GF tickets so if for instance (and this is will never happen) the AFL decides to give the clubs only 3,000 then the Swans have a problem.

You will also need to line up on the day to have access to those 4,000 tickets.

The club have done the right thing by making sure that members are aware that although you are first off the rank, you still need to make sure you line up on the day and that at any time the AFL can change the allocation of tickets which is outside of their control.
