    Prophet.....of doom.

[gloat] As some would be aware, I was one of the few who predicted a top 4 finish before the start of last season [/gloat]

But this year i feel more pesimistic. Strange but true.
For some reason I dont feel as optimistic. Last year wasnt just wishful thinking, it was done under a lot analysis. Same this year.

A genuinely fear what the loss of Creswell will do for the midfield and experience. I also fear a couple of key injuries to our backline would do to us....just as schuable goes down.
I also fear that Stkilda, and a couple of others are on our coattails now. More competitiion for a top 4 spot.

I am only predicting a lower 8 finish. Sorry for the bad news.

Have to agree, less easy games this year, everyone a bit stronger, defence a real worry I am afraid, Schaub's loss highlights our lack of defenders.

Too early to tell, Aints won't make the 8
You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

I actually they might do quite well in the H&A season, falling back a bit toward the end of the season, finishing about 5th and crashing out of the finals.

              This is St Kilda.

They will win the first 8 straight, then lose the next 14.

As often happens at this time of year, when everyone is comparing St Kilda's best side against other teams slightly better than 2nd side, their quality is being over-estimated.

They are just 'up' early by design.

That sounds more like Richmond or Hawthorn in reverse. In recent times StKilda have only started well and collapsed later, failing to make finals, in '99.

StKilda have made it through to finals before with reasonably talented sides, which this one is.

I think Sydney will come between 6th and 10th. It will be tougher than last year.

It could be the same as 1997. After a sensational 1996, where we were the hunters, we became the hunted and didn't fair as well.

                        But.....

Roos has done an amazing job with an average list, that is now a better than average list.

I fear the worst, but that comes from being a long suffering Sydney supporter. I always hope for the best but we will see in 7 mnths time.

                        TOP 8 for sure!!!

I say 5th, with Finals appearances ending at a Semi-Final.
