2004 Final 8 (in no particular order)...

    Mine is...

    Sydney
    Essendon
    St.Kilda
    Brisbane
    Port
    Adelaide
    West Coast
    Collingwood

Of those, Collingwood would be my most doubtful to make it...

Port to be the main strugglers from last year. St Kilda to be the main improvers.

                In that order

I'll jump on the Rising star - Jarrad McVeigh bandwagon as well even though I haven't seen any of the pre-season... but I just want to jump on early

Adam Yze will do his ACL and need a knee reconstruction.
Nathan Brown will get 2 weeks for taking out one of the Rising Star nominee.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Frawley - with 3 rounds to go
                              Daniher - in first half
                              Thomas - no
Williams - after another finals disaster

BTW - I love all the people dropping Collingwood out of finals. Great to see it happen but I doubt it. I remember last year when I thought Collingwood could get there again most people thought I was completely wrong, yet they did. I think they'll have one more shot at finals before they begin to drop away, same as Port.

Very even looking year this year. Carlton and Richmond look the weakest, but capable of an upset. I think Melbourne could do anything, but probably underperform. The Bulldogs could increase a fair bit from last year. Adelaide and Kangaroos may weaken but still be dangerous. Two of the teams I left out of the eight - Hawthorn and Geelong - are potentials to replace some I had in the eight. Very hard to pick a run away team this year.
