I think it ended up in all the CS stuff which trekked back to the SCG over the weekend finally. It'll turn up! It still needs waving IMO.

Hopefully thats the case, because even though I don't like the flag, I feel in a way its a good luck charm or something along those lines.

"Never ever ever state that Sydney is gone. They are like cockroaches in the aftermath of a nuclear war"
(Forum poster 'Change', Big Footy 04Apr09)
?The whole lot of it came around by accident really more than anything else,? he laughed.
?I hadn?t really thought about it. I think about when I?m here of playing footy given that it?s part and parcel of the Swans.
?I think it?s more of an official thing than anything else, OK now I?ve got an Australian passport, and that?s pretty much it.
?It?s easy to come in from another country and I suppose in the long-term if I go home and have kids or what not, they can have an Australian passport as well. Obviously you?ve got privileges and responsibilities with it.?
Kennelly met with the Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs, The Honourable Gary Hardgrave MP, at Telstra Dome earlier this month to discuss the formalities involved with becoming an Australian citizen. Shortly after, he kept no reservations that he still has to pinch himself when he considers his rise and rise both on and off the field.
?A close friend of mine actually passed away (recently) and that more than anything else actually woke me up to say I have it good, and I?ve got a good lifestyle here and things are rocking on,? he said.
?You kind of get carried away with stuff, whereas something like that happens and it just wakes you up to think I?ve got it good, I?ve got an Australian passport, I?ve got dual citizenship.
?It?s just amazing, it?s great.?
In his short time in the competition, Kennelly?s profile has been primarily driven by his identity. While he has certainly matched that with his ability in the last twelve months, he remains adamant that dual-citizenship will not weaken ties with his home country. Particularly when it comes to the International game.
?I reckon I will still be an Irishman and obviously I?ll still play for Ireland,? he noted.
?You never know, things could change over the years but as of now I?m hoping to play for Ireland.?
As expected, Kennelly holds a special place for the man who did it all before him. Jim Stynes ? Melbourne?s Irish icon who reached the heights of a Brownlow Medal in 1991 and represented the Demons 264 times.
?If I as an individual can do half of what Jim Stynes has done it would be just amazing,? he said.
?He?s been a hero to me because I know what he had to go through to do what he did. People at home would take it for granted and not know a whole lot about it but personally I know what you have to do to get to where Jimmy got to.?
Kennelly?s induction will take place at the Harmony Day National Launch on the Opera House forecourt, facing the Harbour Bridge. It will be one in a string of events that will highlight the AFL?s partnership in Harmony Day, a Federal Government initiative to build on the cohesiveness of Australia?s multicultural society and tackle issues of prejudice and racism.
