I nominated McVeigh and Thewlis last year early and they only cemented my thinking as the year wore on.
McVeigh for his exceptionally clean hands and Thewlis for his attack on the footy and preparedness to run off a HBF or pocket, almost identical to the way Licuria played for us in his early years. They are very similar in build at the same age as well, perhaps Thewlis a touch taller.Driver of the Dan Hannebery bandwagon....all aboard. 4th April 09Comment

Ryan Fitzgerald.
wait.
Sundqvist.I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his timeComment

I'm with Lizz on this score. I saw Noggie play a blinder against Collingwood down in Canberra. He impressed me from this day. I seriously believe he has the ability to make it. Without Cresswell it is his BIG chance.Originally posted by lizz
I think I've nominated Luke Ablett for the past two seasons and, like Des, I'm going to keep the faith. Hopefully third time lucky. He's on his last chance though!!
I dearly want him to make it. Even if that day in Canberra was just a pre-season kick & giggle, it did leave an impression.

Sunqvist has to make it this year or I dont see him as needed on the list... apart from that I'd say Hunt.Comment

I think Sunny is one that can kick direct to his team mate. He impressed me with that when I first saw him.
So I like Sunny, Ablett and Buchanan and maybe even Powell after reading Swannete's report of yesterday. Top reporterLove those Swans

That one's a given as always, but he's proven himself that he's not just a flash in the pan now. Of course I'll always support him, but I need to get behind some of the others too and Sunny's it for this yearOriginally posted by lizz
Huh! What about your "love child" of the past 4 years??

I hope 2005 sees the return of the Fixter, let him use his speed on a wing!
I also realy like the Big Doyle, but fear if he doesn't make it this year he'll have to be put down.
And I'm very glad blood-nut Paul Bevan kept his place, he's an intense little player.Comment
