    Fantasy Swans

Ok boys and girls, here is your Captains team for Round 1:

    Crouch Saddington Mathews
    Barry C Bolton Kennelly
    Maxfield J Bolton Fosdike
    LRT Hall Davis
    O'Keefe O'Loughlin Ball
    Goodes Kirk Williams

    McVeigh
    Powell
    Rogers
    James

NB Assuming Doyle, Fixter, Nicks, Schauble and Schnider are injured.

Both Rogers and James should get the no before Ablett and Sunny. We are short of utilities/talls and these could be valuable options in defence if Saddington fails. Likewise they could be used up forward to add a bit of height.

Look not a bad team - schuable's loss usually wouldn't worry me against most teams - but against lynch which he has a good record - who ever plays on him is going to get thrown around like a rag doll - its gonna get ugly.

What do people think of putting Jason Ball on him if things get ugly? Or even as a first option?

Ball doesnt have the speed to match Lynch on the lead. In saying that though, I think Lynch will be playing mainly from the goalsquare, so an extra man a blocking his leading space, then having Ball on him to go body on body may work. However, I think that would be a waste because Ball is far more useful in the ruck and then resting up forward.

Craig Bolton will get first crack at Lynch though. Roos said as much at the guernsey presentation when he was introducing B2 onto the stage.

If that fails, then maybe we can double team him with an extra man on defense. If the Lions man that player up, it just means more guys in the backline to help each other out..
