Pre Match Meet Up in Brisbane

Well its that time of the season again and for those of us lucky enough to be making their way North, it promises to be an interesting trip to say the least. However this leads me to the reason for this thread. No doubt many of you would of got an email from the club promoting a pre match function at the Pineapple Hotel from 5pm to 7pm at a cost of $20. Now for many of us this isn't an option considering we have to get into the ground early to set up the Cheer Squad and to get the banner ready.

Now that means paying $20 is value for money, so therefore from 3pm we will be having a meet up at the Woolloongabba Hotel so that those of us who have to be in the ground early can meet up with everyone and those of you who want to kick onto the Pineapple Hotel are more than welcome.

Where:Woolloongabba Hotel - 809 Stanley Street near the Gabba.
When:Saturday from 3pm

Any other questions, just PM me and I'll try and answer them. Also a few of us are going to meet up for lunch from about 1.30-2 in the Gabba area, if you want to join us just PM me and I'll give you details.

Just booked flights, tickets etc etc. Said to a mate yesterday. @@@@ it, lets just go.

I've never met anyone on this board. What time are people going to be at the Gabba Hotel, as the very earliest I'll be there is 4.30pm. Should I just head to the Pineapple ?

Not sure yet what we're doing. Hubby has to go up to Longreach for work this week and will be meeting us at Brisbane airport. After we've checked in etc, I'm not sure what the plans are.

Robbie and Jules do you guys need a hand with anything? If you do, I'd be happy to volunteer our services, I'm just not sure if it will fit in with your time requirements.

Well the plan is to meet up from 3pm and from about 5pm we'll leave people to make a decision whether they want to enter the ground or move onto the Pinapple Hotel. So Bart I suggest you check the Wolloonggabba Hotel first.

Hi,

I'm coming up for the game on Saturday with Mum as we'll be visiting family in Noosa - we booked a package including tickets and hotel (the Goodearth) for 1 night, but don't know where the seats will be as haven't got the tickets yet. Not wanting to be surrounded by Brisbane fans, what bay are all the Swans fans going to be sitting in case we can change seats?

I've never met anyone from RWO before, but would naturally much prefer to be around my own kind rather than a bunch of Lions Haven't actually been to an away game before either and looking forward to it!

Will probably head towards the Pineapple at 5, if earlier then I'll come along to the Woolongabba hotel if you don't mind having a relative newbie along (we're only recent members)
