Where is the 'Swans fan pub' to watch the game tonight?

OK, my bad, I deleted the email thinking I was watching it at home, but now I want to go out drinking after the game, so I may as well start at the pub while watching it

Don't know that there's anything planned, but did you go to last year's aftermatches? They were at Bell's Hotel in the South Melbourne heartland. Nice enough... we watched Fremantle help us into the top four there last year.

CTS - The email that came out is that the new "Swans Social Club" to get together and watch games is at current NSL soccer club South Melbourne Bob Jane Stadium in Albert Park.

This is the new Swans Melbourne based supporters social club to watch Swans games with your fellow supporters.

Can't remember exactly which room it is in at BJS - but it is definately there. Tonight. And all games.

I won't be there but I'm sure you will find many many swans supporters there.

Refer to Bron's "Away Games at the Alex" thread posted 22 March for Sydneysiders.

PS: Hard to answer this question for u CTS, when u have Australia as location

Perhaps a quick rework of the profile ... hmmm?

Thanks guys, I went to the BJ Stadium.

Great venue, cheap beer, but only 80 people or so there.

Too bad we lost, but if we were gona lose a game, let it be round one to the 3 times reigning premiers by 2 points in a game that could have gone either way.

              We could have played Port...

they look ike the team to watch again.

The only thing that will beat them this year IMO is great coaching.

And disgraceful flooding. The tactics used by Matthews and the Brions, especially in the 3rd quarter were a disgrace. At some stages there were less than 2 players before of the centre square. i was mouthing off about it, yelling at Brisbane to "play frigging football". This was something several of the complete morons in maroon felt was necessary to repeat to me after the game.

Brisbane supporters are a bunch of nimrods, I tell you.

Yeah I was there at BJ stadium. I was the one sitting near the bar thumping the table. Damn beer tastes bad when we lose games like that.

Would have been more people there if the game was only on Fox, but being on free to air, many obviously chose to watch it at home.

The place has the potential to be a top venue for Melbourne based fans to watch the game.

Was the game shown on a large screen at BJ stadium? Do they allow smoking in there? We used to go to Eastern suburbs leagues club in Sydney to watch the games but the room stunk of smoke.

Sorry BBB, I saw that the other night but I logged on just to quickly get the venue before i left.

And then forgot about it this morning.

                          Anyway, I am Victorian.

Yeah, it was on th big screen and a few little screens around teh room too.

I'm not a smoker and I didn't notice it being smokey.

                            Pots were $3

Meals looked nice and were reasonably priced, but I all I had were some of my frineds chips there, I was saving myself for a last night KFC
