    Fremantle

I gotta say I struggle to see why some rate this list so highly.

Pavlich is a star - but we have far more talent than them IMO.

Next week do we strangle Bell and Haselby - or just try and blow them away. If those two do not get the same 71 possessions as against Carlton, hard to see them beating us

Agree Reggi, only thing that may work in Freo's favour are our injury problems any word on Davis and Goodes

Hi, this is my first post... I'm a Swans supporter living in WA.

I think we should win but it won't be easy. Since I see a lot of Freo, I think you are seriously under-rating their talents. Top 4 side along with us, Saints and Brisbane for mine. They have an abundance of young talent. Let's not take them easy.

Hope Goodes and Davis are OK. Goodes should be fine since he returned and all... not sure about Davis. Anyone have any news?

Anyway, should be a top contest next week.

To me Freo are overrated. I canno understand why so many people are picking them to reach the GF.

I think we should beat Freo fairly easily as we match up well against them and they still haven't proven they are good travellers.

Kirk will take Bell, Crouch on Farmer, Mathews on Hasleby and Leo on Medhurst. Interesting to see if Pavlich goes with Goodes.

I don't think we will beat them easily but I think we should just about start as favourites on home turf. They ran us close at the SCG last season and are older and stronger this year.

IMO their no-name backline is a strength, not dissimilarly to us. Players like McPharlin may not have delivered enough yet to justify the hype but they have potential, while the likes of Hadyn, Woods and Haddrill are quietly efficient.

Medhurst and Farmer up forward together could cause our inexperienced defence a few headaches, while Haselby is a classy ball magnet.

            Should be a good game.

I expect a belter of a game. Freo have some very good talent, and will be up there for the next few years if they can keep all their up-and-coming players together.

Is it just me or do they have quite a few of those small nugetty players?

Yep they have a few of those nuggety players who are all very talented. I think we also have the smaller type of players to match them though - Crouch, Mathews, Bevan...

                  Agree.
I think Freo are a great side! May be a very hard slog against them next week.

I can't believe some people are underrating Freo so much - they're a young and talented side, and gave us a pretty close game at the SCG last year.

Spot on. The Dockers are a very good side, and will definitely push us next week.

Freo arent a bad team at all and im sure it'll be a very challenging game but it just seemed to me last year that everyone expected them to lose when it came to the real deal (the finals).
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

IMHO the Dockers are a mid table side, very hard to beat at home, but that question mark over them on the road. IF Sydney come ready to play and keep the intensity for the full game, should see a Swans win by about 4-5 goals

                            Just about start favourites!!!

Also not saying we will beat them easily, but us being favourites, pronounced favourites at that, is as sure as death, taxes and Saddo copping a bagging from the inmates here.

hhmmmmm, does anyone know if schneider will be in for this weekend. I think we really need either one of Shneiderman or Davis, their, and since it looks like no Davis for a few weeks we really need Schneiderman to pull up for this one. I reckon he can be brought straight back into the team. He deserves his spot as a regular imho.
