    you folks are too fickle

hence why i don't post or visit this forum as much as i used too.

I am glad none of you are involved with match day or else we would end up with some interesting selections to say the least.

Some of you are waaay to harsh on some players and are def couch experts.

The boys played an awesome game against the best side too ever grace a football field. And to top it off the physical appearance of the lions is very daunting.

    Anyway.

Yeah some people on here have to remember its only a game. yeah we all want the swans to succeed..but for some of you it's some serious biz.

Too much over analysing sometimes..makes me wonder how come some of you have not succeeded on a football park.

Maybe the RWO collective can be the next coach if anything happens to Roos.

I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

But that's a load of crap what you said.

Just because people don't play professional football, doesn't mean they don't know what is going on.

It's not 'just a game' either.

Are we back to the days of Rocket's "good, close losses"? Are we to content ourselves with losing by less than a kick?

Isn't there footage of you going berserk at TS...?

It was a prelim folks..next game being the granny. Of course it was huge and i was going crazy.

But this is Round 1..round bloody 1. New Season.

The way you go on about it, its like every single game must be won or esle start dropping players.

I hate to see the pressure applied too Roos and especially the comments on this board if he doesnt have the type of year we had last year.

I don't understand what people mean when they say this - would you rather us lose by 6 goals than 2 points? No-one is happy losing, but there's no point berating players for a job that was predominantly well done.

You win some, you lose some. What's the point in getting riled up about it when you can't affect the outcome?

No one is going crazy about the weekend or talking of dropping players. Most people look at the performance of their team after each game, consider who played well, who played poorly, who did good things, who made mistakes, and who needs to improve. That's pretty much what has happened. I don't know why some people are so against the standard post-weekend views, which supporters of every team do.

If we lose half a dozen close ones and miss the finals you will understand.

                        Reality check:

                        1) We have three very tough road trips this year (brissy just gone, then 2 to perth). We need to win one of those IMO to finish top 2, or maybe even top 4. Last saturday may have been our best chance.

                        2) If we are to win the flag this year, we have to beat Brisbane. No point saying they are too good, or we might as well finish last get get some priority picks in the draft.

You guys ARE kidding, aren't you?

The only player ANYONE has suggested dropping is Saddington. Unless you've been under a rock for the past 12 months, bagging Saddington isn't a new thing around here. Is that your only reason? Ok. Should we be politely clapping and saying "good try anyway, boys, don't worry, we're happy with losing"? Because I'm not going to. We played well - but ultimately, it wasn't good enough. It doesn't matter whether we lose gallantly or not - in the end, every lost game is lost by four points.

If you think that bagging Saddington and not accepting defeat is enough to leave the site - go for it. That's your choice. If you're expecting a whole heap of people to say "please don't go"... you won't be getting it from me.

Quick question, before you leave. Who's being fickle? The people who just want to see the team continually improve, or the people who insist on making a scene as they're going out the door?
                          We hate Anthony Rocca
                          We hate Shannon Grant too
                          We hate scumbag Gaspar
                          But Leo WE LOVE YOU!

                              Spot on.

If we can't criticise and seek continual improvement what's the point.

Footy is more than a game, it's a passion, a life....

It's no loss of those people leave, they will probably be better suited to ballet.
