    Tadgh Kennelly

According to Karen Collins on SEN - she was at Sydney training, Tadgh is set to play.

She also shed some light on why we get differing injury reports.

Apparently Nathan Gibbs thought one week, Matt Cameron the Physio 3-4 weeks for Tadgh

Apparently Gibbs' call on Davis is 4 Cameron is different (she claimed she was sworn to secrecy).

So some good news, Tadgh to play

Dr Larkins diagnosis seemed pretty logical and thought out

Gut feeling. You look at Fixter, who's time hasn't been reduced hardly at all. You think of our track record, and then you see how many times Davo's time has been changed in the few days since it happened. It seems that no-one knows what's going on, so expecting the worst

            .

            Same.
Wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't back until mid-year, no reason just bad gut feeling.

Actually I will make the prediction:
            Davis will play next against....

              Kennelly and Schneider to return

Sydney Swans defender, Tadhg Kennelly is set to make a remarkable return to the senior side after undergoing knee surgery less than seven days ago.

The Irishman twisted his knee during tackling practice in last Wednesday?s main training session at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

An arthroscopy last Thursday morning showed a tear to the meniscus cartilage in his left knee and minor surgery followed.

Despite subsequent expectations of a return in round three or four, coach Paul Roos hopes the 22-year-old will run on Thursday to prove his fitness.

?We have picked Tadhg to play (against Fremantle on Sunday) so that is based on the medical advice so far,? Roos said prior to Wednesday?s training.

?It is certainly not a certainty so we are aware there may be a withdrawal later in the week, but at this stage based on our medical advice we have picked him to play.?

Roos continues to marvel at Kennelly?s stunning recovery and how far medical technology has come along over the years.

?It?s staggering when you look at medical science the way it has come on over the last 12 months.

?I know its ancient history but when I played under-19?s a cartilage operation then was six months so for a guy to come back in ten or eleven days is staggering.

?I know basically from the moment Tadhg got out of hospital he was preparing to play against Freo.

?He had the pump on his leg and ice-packs going left, right and centre to stop the swelling.

?He had done everything right so structurally the injury is actually fixed. It is really the wounds around it where you go in with the arthroscopy and how sore they are going to be.?

Goal-sneak Adam Schneider will also make a welcome return following a hamstring injury sustained against Carlton in round one of the Wizard Home Loans Cup.

A position in the senior side was made available when forward Nick Davis suffered a hip flexor muscle strain in Sydney?s two-point loss to the Brisbane Lions on Saturday night.

I actually think the 'secret' is a good sign.

There's no logical reason to hide the fact that someone thinks he could be out longer.

But if he might be able to play in 1-2 weeks, then he'll throw out the opposition's early planning if he's selected, and they think he's not a chance.

Kennelly - The luck of the Irish!

With Davis - A 6cm tear on his kicking leg - I expect him to be out for the full 6 weeks - maybe a couple more.

Channel 10 prett much noted him and schneider as definite starters, Roos only talked about Tiger and said he was a starter atm but may be forced to pull up if things didnt go his way later in the week.
                      Good News!!

Impossible is not a fact, it's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration, it's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing!

Typical of physios. Wouldn't know if their backsides were on fire. Is it any coincidence that soft tissue injuries have proliferated since they graced their prescence on footy clubs.

I just can't see how a bloke that did a knee injury can play 10 days later! I hope he's all right to go cause he's a bloody top player and I wouldn't want him to bugger his knee up and be out for an extended period. Oh well if he doesn't play then it just brings Meiklejohn one step closer to getting a game. Bring back the big fella from Tuggerong
