    Suggestion

Every week, we have multiple threads running with much the same content, and you pretty much end up reading and writing the same thing twice, 3 times, more.

One prime example (not Saddo-related ) is with discussion about the week's game. Just this week we have two threads listing the team for the game. By Sunday arvo, there is likely to be 4 separate threads discussing the result.

How does this sound. In the lead up to each week, could the Mod set up a thread, perhaps sticky, set aside for direct discussion about the game, from the selected team on thursday night to the end result, or whenever. Give it a suitable title and let everyone go for it all in the same place. Or even a whole separate forum could work, I'm not sure. Just a thought.

    Any comments, ideas, other suggestions?

I've seen what you suggest tried before on other boards - it just never works. Plus, the moderator required discipline usually leads to deleted threads, semantic arguments about the contents of threads, etc and eventually people just get angry.

IMO I've never had a problem accessing content on this board.

i like the idea in principle, but with so many of the threads tailing out into a vortex of irrelevance ("i said/you said" or "saddo can/saddo can't") it's refreshing when somebody starts up a new one and the long boring whingey one crawls into some corner and dies.

the thread is dead. long live the thread!!
then again, i think it would be worth trying 15-16 players on field so what would i know

very unrelated... however, is that a common expression, or are you referring to Weiss?

Totally agree here mate...so many whiners get on here just to start that i'm better than you because I said Saddo was crap call. It's just not what the clubs about. I like reading discussions about football, and particularly on this forum, encouragement for our footballers/team. Alot of the stuff I am reading at the moment is derogatory rubbish and that's not what the clubs all about.

            Disagree here, too.

A new thread should start when something new is to be said, even if the topic is similar.

It's up to those posting to ensure that their thread is new.
