Heath has what Saddo lacks as a KPP... body-on-body instincts.

Strength is not the be-all, as you'll notice Heath looks relatively lean. Just gets his body positioned at the right moment to cause the required pressure.
"As a player he simply should not have been able to do the things he did. Leo was a 185cm, 88kg full-back and played on some of the biggest, fastest and best full-forwards of all time, and constantly beat them." Roos.
Leo Barry? you star! We'll miss ya, ''Leapin''.

james' best asset is that he fights for the front spot in a marking contest... thats why have been harping for ages about the want for LRT in the backline as his (very) limited time down there last year, he fought for the front spot. no other tall defender on our list does this, they all prefer to punch from behind

if he can outbody leppitsch, he can outbody lloyd

Why do we always seem to lack confidence on our players. If we, as the supporters, dont show the confidence, who else would?

James is going to beat Loyd first time up. Mark my work. James has demonstrated with his limited time so far he is capable of beating anyone .

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but I was really impressed how James backed himself and really started attacks from the backline. Also, really impressed with his field kicking, I doubt that he missed a target with any of his kicks.

I think Heath will be a key position backman, he's similar body size and similar speed to a Matty Scarlett, and he does okay.

18 possessions is a pretty damn good day out for a full back. Only probably 2 or 3 goals kicked on him. That is a hands-down victory in anyone's language.

            This boy looks VERY promising

I agree entirely, he looked like he has been there for seven seasons in the backline, well, playing I mean, he seemed to break well from defence kicking was generally good and looked assured and solid. It is really great news for the bloke himself and for us.

And surely with James established when Schaubs is back that really should put Sadds on the wing or half forward flank. Could be a good result all round.

Just back home today from Sydney and seeing the Freo game live. At the risk of putting a hex on him I'm peased to see my nominated lovechild Heath James put in such a top effort. Including the free to Longmuir that should have gone the other way. Our already useful defence has now got a bit of extra armour plating.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
