    Collared shirts

Did anyone get refused entry for not having a collared shirt on?

I fortunately draped one over my T-shirt before I left, but because I had my scarf over the collar it wasn't directly noticeable. I was subsequently asked by one of the gate Nazis if I had the required apparel, at which point I removed my scarf and indicated what I thought of the new rule.

We only found out through email so I was wondering if anyone got caught out?

          I am not kidding!

I was asked at the gate if I had a collared shirt on.
We received an email during the week about it.
I came in at the gates behind the MA Noble.

That is the same entry as the SCG members and they have always had a dress code. Pitiful I know.

I always wear a collared shirt to the footy... but to be perfectly honest that is because I prefer to wear a collar when I am wearing a scarf

But I have always gone in that way!

If I had a guaranteed undercover reserved seat with complimentary hors douvers (spelling?) then maybe I wouldn't complain.

I had to go down to the members gate and pass a jacket through the bars to my son-in-law so he could get in. Saw lots of others in the same situation, and the merchandise booth was doing a roaring trade in poloshirts, all passed through the bars to mafia victims. The victimisation only appeared to apply to blokes - can anybody tell me why a Tee shirt is OK on a women but not on a man?

That also seems to apply with singlets for some reason.

Probably because women tend to pay about 100 bucks for a pair of them, making them a fashion essential
