    Under the radar

I know its early days and we only beat Freo but do you think once again will we slip under the radar and not get alot of press??

In Melbourne, its usually a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' and we only play four times in Melbourne plus once in Geelong.

That's fine by me although I dont think many coaches will be underestimating Roos' ability.

The media may continue to ignore the Bloods but the coaches certainly wont. As they are all heard to say, No game is easy in this comp.

Sydney are a very tough side to beat. So let the media talk up the bombers and the pies cause the Bloods are comin'.

They're not being ignored down here...just a quiet "O.K. they are that good - we were wondering."

Tim Watson (for example) who didn't even have us in the 8 said after the game against Brissy "they'll definitely be there in the finals, for sure, probably top four."

This week he was asked "should you just tip Sydney at home no matter what?" he said "definitely, mark it down right now, save yourself the trouble of thinking about it." Garry Lyon concurred wholeheartedly.

Had Brisbane under estimated us, I reckon they would have lost.

The realisation has arrived, but it will increase the desperation of the opposition.

Lions probably know us and respect us better than any other club.

I sense most of the better clubs think 'They are the real deal, but we can beat them anyway' sort of thing.

It is just the feeling I get here in Sydney, which of course may be far removed from the actualities in Melbourne.

I agree wholehaertedly, BBB. Despite our recent success, there will always be the stigma of not having won a premiership for so long. So no matter what, they will always think us beatable - the only way to change this is to win a grandfinal.

"Under the radar" . The new buzz phrase in footy on Melbourne Radio.

It's been done to death in the past couple of weeks.
