Impressive, could he be the "Adam Schneider" of 2004.

Speaking of which could Adam Schneider be the Adam Schneider of last year, boy did he look slow and ordinary. Missing the tempo of the game after injury, could do with a bit more match time in the 2's.

Several of my mates were commenting that Schnides looked fitter than last year.

Showed great toe in the Carlton Wizz game too.

I thought he looked ok too.

maybe if Nick Davis was playing Schneids would have been given 1-2 games in the twos to get match-fit...but for now he should just build up to fitness again through the seniors

he is primarily an impact player (who could become an onballer) and its hard to have that impact when youre fitness and touch are underdone

my guess is he will be back to his best by Round 4

Schneids did OK. Spent a lot of time on the pine, scored one goal, squandered a couple of chances and was instrumental in setting up Kirk's goal.

For a first game back, playing in a tough role to dominate, he did just fine.

I notice he's donned the 'champagne' boots this season so he's going to have to keep his standards up.

Our young rookie certainly looks the goods. Thats 2 solid efforts against strong teams, so hes definately one to get excited about. Plus hes a Sydney boy, so no chance we'll lose him to some scavenging Melbourne team.

While Im on the subject of poaching, McVeigh has stated his allegiance to the Swans. In teh Sunday Telegraph, he said something something along the lines of "Im here to stay in Sydney; the only way I'll get to play with Mark is if he gets traded to Sydney".

Bevan was a model kid in the juniors, and his rugby league background shows in his great tackling.

It was interesting to hear the comments on Ch9, I did not know he was related to Brian Bevan, English Rugby League legend (yes, there are some)!

The pundits who rated McVeigh and Bevo in the pre-season, if they are right about Willoughby and Schmidt on another thread, then we are building very nicely.

he had 8 tackles!!!

not bottling up the ball in the forward line was why we lost last week!!!

The last star with a Rugby background was Kels, with LRT's background in the game noted, good to see him start well. The tackling skills were extremely strong as mentioned previously!

Let's hope his talent is a tenth of Paul's and we'll have a mighty fine player.

Small point, but Kels and Bevan have links with League while LRT played union in the past. This is potentially why as a tall guy LRT can actually play AFL, because he played in the 2nd row and was required to jump at the lineouts. A big leaguie would have very limited previous experience with getting his feet off the ground. But having said that, Kels did have one of the best leaps going around.

Anyway, I suspect someone is going to reply with a "who cares?"! when it comes to the distinction between League and Union.
