Another observation from the Freo game was that Paul Roos moved our players into lots of very different positions throughout the game. I presume it was to mess up Freo's preplanned match-ups. And it worked.
But if you look at other bulletin boards you'll see the coach is torn to shred more often than RWOers attack Saddo. Try Richmond or Port. However, I don't think I've ever seen a criticism of Roos.
Personally, I've never seen a need to. One of my observations pre-season was that I hoped he'd come up with some new tricks for this season as the other coaches would be on to last year's. So far he seems to have achieved that. And he has the new guys playing like veterans.
But doesn't anyone have something to complain about? I'll start the ball rolling. I'd like to complain that he's starting to show emotion in the coaches box. Last year, all we got for a winning goal was a gentle tap of the mineral water bottle. This season I've even seen him holding his hand in front of his mouth and looking nervous. Where will it end?
