    Omen

Six years to the day - Round 3, 1998 - we had our second biggest ever win over the Cats as we posted our highest score against them. 24.16 (160) vs 7.15 (57)

Here's hoping for history to repeat itself.

I had a dream last night that we lost. I can't actually remember the score or the game, only that I was telling a friend that we lost. I take it as a positive sign.

Yep - it drizzled a bit (or was at least a bit overcast). I watched the game from my mate's seats in the middle deck of the Brewongle - before it all turned into corporate boxes. Geelong wore their navy blue away jumper for the first time (and it got canned at the end of the year). Brent Green kicked a goal in the last quarter. We got free chocolates as we went in the gates.

Gee you remember all sorts of useless information about things like that... I can't even remember what I had for dinner last tuesday!

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

You are very optimistic to see positive from a negative dream!!

Nah we'll win. Unless we go to sleep in the last 10 minutes.

I asked my nephew today if he wanted to go to the game Saturday night. He said no, it's the cats. Last time he did that was THAT game against them. Guess who's coming this time regardless of what he wants!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We're at something like $1.10 for this game - probably the shortest odds we've ever been. But I have a very bad vibe - I'm naturally pessimistic (I've been a Swans barracker now for 27 years) - and I keep thinking of that drawn game against StKilda from 2002. Ich.

Funny - I can remember the chocolates but not who we played. I have been addicted to Lindt chocolates ever since.

Yes, I love em too, ever since!

Funny how you just remember random things about certain matches whereas others just mix up in a big blur...

We kicked to the Randwick end first that day.
