Star forward Michael O'Loughlin will miss Sydney's AFL home clash with Geelong at the SCG because of a lingering hamstring injury.

O'Loughlin was unable to train on Friday morning.

His place in the Swans team will be taken by Amon Buchanan, who'll be playing his first senior game since initially being delisted and then redrafted by the club last year.

Great to see Amon back - if any player deserved his place in the side due to great performances in the practice games and reserves it was him.

Sadly I dont think he will keep his spot even if he has a blinder this week as when MOL comes back he will replace amon - only if schnieder doesnt perform up to last yr standards he may take his spot.

But for now he just in this week and out the next.

Not necessarily, there are other young guys that could make way, e.g. Bevan or McVeigh if Buchanan does really put up his hand. This very healthy competition for spots in the 22 can only help the team.

It's great the Amon has a game. I'm also glad Micky's injury is'nt as bad as first feared.

So pleased you are in the team.
Have also watched his practice games and enthusiasm.
