    Injuries?

    AFL.com lists:

    Kennelly (ribs)
    Williams (calf)
    Schneider (quad)
    Maxfield (neck)

Does anyone have any more information?
Were these players off for much of the game?
Maxfield only had 5 touches, so I'm assuming he was.

Maxfield got wiplash, says he should be right for next week.

Kennelly came off for a bit, but played through till the end, doctors say he might have one or even two fractured ribs.

Schneider played most of the game, should be right.

I don't know about Williams he played for most of the game so I should think he'd be right for next week.

      Re: Injuries?

Kennelly (ribs) - Did the injury in the second quarter and it did seem to bother him for the rest of the quarter as he was on and off the bench. Started the third quarter off the field, but did a bit of running to see if he could breathe properly after running. Came on to test himself out and stayed on for the rest of the match as far as I could see. Got a bit of the ball after that so should be alright, but he'll undergo some tests to make sure of no major damage.
Williams (calf) - Just tighting of the calf. Came off in the 2nd term, had a rub down, came back on and had no further trouble.
Schneider (quad) - Same as Willo, just a tighting of the quad.
Maxfield (neck) - Got hit high (should of got the free kick as well) a bit of wipelash, said he'll be fine for next week.

In any case the only one of the above that I think could miss next week would be Kennelly. But thats only if test don't show up anymore damage in the ribs. Unlikely in any case.

Maxfield definitely got whiplash in the neck, shoulder and cheekbone all in one go <g> the neck was the major concern but should be okay for next week.

Willo definitely was okay when he came back on.

When James went down in that first quarter contest against Leo's hip I thought oh no not again - but he played out the game.

Kennelly's injury definitely was hampering him throughout the match but like him he'll play next week.

I think Fossie's back was still troubling him this week as well.

He was either winded or was making sure he still had two on him down below

Though when I first saw it, he seemed to be grabbing his knee. But he was fine and thats the main thing

And yet no free kick which was interesting.

Sydney papers this morning reported Nick Davis may play next week??????

Sorry Midaro, can't find it, but I doubt it's true. See the papers have changed Kennelly to strained abdominals - which makes sense - doubt he would have played on with cracked ribs

Either Bazza or Mathews said as much at the aftermatch - that "hopefully both Magic and Davis would be back next week.

I greeted Craig Davis last night and asked him how 'the young bloke' was going.

He said about another 3 weeks.

Not suggesting that Davis snr is going to spill his guts to some guy in a Swans 'bomber' jkt and a scarf wrapped around his neck who happens to say 'hi', but I fail to find a reason why he would purposely tell a porkie if Nick was truly a chance for next week.

Well, I asked ND directly when we were putting the banner up against the Dockers. He said 4 weeks then.

I know Craig Davis played for Collingwood, but sometimes I guess you have to start trusting people, hey.

Yeah, I snapped a bit last night. Really was just one of those nights. Think I embarassed myself quite a bit actually.

Schauble should be back for the Roos game. That'll help, too. But yes, we need Nick or Magic soon - and some kicking clinics for everyone else. How do we restore Jason B's confidence in set shots? He and we all knew he'd miss even when 20 metres out. He's a great asset and we can't afford him to be so defeatist.
