Is it any wonder the club persisted with him through injury after injury? Finally we seem to have that extra big body down back we've been crying out for!

And with all his setbacks and comebacks, you KNOW he's got the heart, you KNOW he is going to give 100% everytime because he knows how quickly you can get injured and be out of it.

He's been fantastic. As he builds his experience, I can see him being rated one of the better backmen in the league if he keeps this up.

I read the title of this post and thought - what on earth are you thinking! But then I opened the thread.

Heath has been important for us. He is an inspiration to the other guys with his persistence and dedication. He sets a standard for them, just like Stewie does through his dedicated training.

I'm so pleased to see how well Heath has been playing. He's been worth the effort.

Let's face it, we all wanted Heath to succeed, but I think last nights performance in a lack lustre Swans side was outstanding.

... and there is so much room for improvement. He is a 10-gamer who is still coming to terms with football at the top level, yet doing a great job.

Areas he is not quite up to some of the other guys include his decision making. Sometimes he gets the ball in the open and isn't 100% confident. Occasionally mis-directs handballs, etc. This will come with more senior footy.

Has played very well for the last three games, and has finally shown why we held onto him, for a 10 gamer he has much scope for improvement.

Yeah, it's great to see the guy finally have some luck. Definately can play.

Had some 'moments' last night but good to see that he rebounded in the last qrtr, where he was great.

I also gotta say that playing sons of former players have a great 'aura' about them, which is fantastic.

He is really playing well - such a vital MARK last night in the last minute. Great playing Heath - keep going.

Here's hoping he stays injury free and on the rise. From last nights observations, it's clear that he tries that extra bit harder and is harder on himself when his attempt fails. Last night when Kent got the ball, Heath was behind him, went for a spoil but was too late; Heath thumped the ground yelling at himself, then when Kent put it through he knelt down on the ground with his hand in his hands for a few moments. With that, you see that this opportunity and game means more to him after what he's endured. It's pleasing to see him make the most of it, like he has been. It's no wonder Jude, Leo and others name him as their most inspirational player! Upwards and Onwards Heath!!

I saw the title of this thread and assumed correctly that it was tongue-in-cheek. And it was. Sure he still is only getting his confidence together, but with him fit up the back and starting to hold his own, I'm far less nervous about our defence than I was a month ago. Not only is he a good mark and a strong kick, he finally seems to be gaining confidence.

In lieu of Andrew Dunkley's departure and the inability to find a permanant replacement at full back, his return to the fold could not be better time. with Schauble back soon, we'll have even more options.

we should have to show some ticket, like we did for 1 quarter last night against the Cats.

In a previous thread I said that even though he's my love child it might be a bit premature to make the comparison with Dunks. As each game goes by I am cautiously beginning to hope. He's big for his stage of development, he's strong, he's not short but he plays taller than his height. And it looks as if he may be a decent kick! Power on, Heath.

Heath is far too attacking to be playing FB.

We need Schauble back at FB so Heath can become a genuine running CHB who can kick goals.

One of our big problems at the moment is woeful delivery into the forward line. Kennelly and Kirk seem to be the only ones capable of hitting a target. Add Heath, who kicks well and runs, to the HB line coming through centre and it will make a hell of a difference to our makeup.
