    Goal kicking

I think it was Leigh Matthews who said our accuracy in front of goal last year couldn't be repeated and we would struggle this year.

The last quarter reminded me of this comment.

Should Jason Ball keep kicking at goal until his confidence returns or should he pass it off.He really does have the yips.

He definitely has a monkey on his back!

Obviously you have to have some confidence in these professional footballers, but when a player is kicking for goal to perhaps seal a victory it should be kicked with the intention of going through the big ones. Not hitting the post TWICE!

If he had a better positioned player available he should have passed the ball on.

I truely think Ball is a great player (we missed him last year) but perhaps he just needs more goal practice after that shocker in Brisbane.

He's got the yips for sure, but a couple of straight kicks will see them disappear.

Nothing to worry about. To suggest he should give it off from 25m out is silly, there is more risk in that than letting him kick it.

BTW, you reckon he has the yips, what about Medhurst. All over the place today at Subi. Makes Ball look like Plugger at the minute.
