I only saw the game on TV, but looks like Doyle didnt do much. Gerald Healy couldnt tell the difference between Ball and Doyle, so very difficult to tell from the Tele.

From what I saw he looks to slow to be an AFL FF. About the only bean-pole FF around is Richo, and he is (well should be) an exception.

Shouldnt Doyle be groomed as a ruckman only to replace Ball ?
Or only go to FF in the 2nd half when the defenders are tiring?

I would like to see a three way rotation simaliar to Freo's (Simmonds,Longmuir and Sandilands) with Doyle being groomed to take the full time ruck duties when Ball retires which in time should allow us ease in our recent recurited bean poll.

In the games I have seen Doyle play, he didn't need to be quick, he simply out marked his opponent with his height, and stretch.

He should be used as a Ruckmand/Forward(when resting).
