    Davis, O'Loughlin return for Swans

Nick Davis, Michael O'Loughlin and Lewis Roberts-Thompson have been added to Sydney's extended squad for Sunday's game against the Kangaroos at Manuka Oval in Canberra.

Davis, who injured a hip in the club's opening game against Brisbane at the Gabba, has been named in a forward pocket alongside O'Loughlin at full-forward. O'Loughlin was a late withdrawal from Sydney's match against Geelong last Saturday with a hamstring.

Roberts-Thompson is one of seven players named on an extended interchange bench.

The Kangaroos have added ruckman David Hale, defender Jess Sinclair and midfielders Jeremy Cayton and Blake Grima to their extended squad of 25.

Grima, if he makes the cut after the squad is trimmed to 22 on Friday, will be making his AFL debut for the Kangaroos.

Glenn Archer, who damaged a posterior cruciate ligament in the win over Carlton last Saturday is the only player out of the line-up.

I hope Bevan gets another chance. Doyle needs a few more reserves games.

My mate's, cousin's, boyfriend's, brother's ex-girfriend's mother says the inclusions of O?Loughlin, Davis & Kennelly are all still questionable.

Questionable but it still could happen.

If they were to play we'd be almost full strenght.(I like saying that)

I think Doyle needs more time on the ground in a senior game. Hes had enough time demolishing the opposition in reserves games.

Of the three questionable ones, I think O'Loughin will be most definate to play.

Our forward line is good enough so I dont think we need Doyle. LRT is capable of running around the ground, which will be better i reckon.

We have to pick Bevan and Schneider. Hard to pick this last person but it would be Ablett or McVeigh.
Using hypothesis testing via confidence intervals:
Nick Davis mark inside 50 = goal

Assume you have not watched any games thus far if you think Mcveigh is behind Bevan.

I'd say Bevan and McVeigh are even over the last 3 games with McVeigh waxing and Bevan waning...

I would drop Ablett and Buchanan.
I think we need LRT to play on one of their big blokes. We are very short( as usual ) down back. They have a few big blokes.

We definately need LRT or Doyle to counter Norths forward line height if the game starts going sour because of that.

Goodes again turns out to be our shining light, being able to play anywhere and to be mobile against the tall timber while still being able to contest the overhead ball with them.

                      We need tall options.

my view of the season so far puts McVeigh well ahead of Bevan. he has been consistent and I feel comfortable when he has the ball.

                        bevan's stats

                        mcveigh's stats
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Highly unlikely that Davis will play

Always highly unlikely IMO, more surprised if they played than not! Perhaps with Bevo and McVeigh's experience in Canberra we might have a couple of secret weapons?
