After the easy win last week against Weston Creek( who have won 2 games in 3 years ) I felt that Swans supporters believed that the Reserves would only have to turn up to win all their matches . The level of competition is harder than most Swans supporters imagine. This is good for the development of the younger players to have some strong competition.

I'll do some digging to try and find a match report for us. I've just got back to Sydney from Huskisson this afternoon, so I was originally unable to make it to the Manuka game and the resevres game today, so I have no report this week. My darling hubby decided to come home early and has given me the green light to venture to Canberra tomorrow. So look out guys, here I come. Hope to catch up with JF and SR4E etc tomorrow.

mmm I did think if our reserves turned up they'd win, but thats cause the only news I've heard about the ressies is from them winning.

One point on Swans reserves v opposition teams.

We have a unit that comprises boys that are not as fully used to playing with each other as much as other sides are. By that I mean to say .. a lot of teams - and Queanbeyan are a good example - have been woven together for a long time.

It was clear to me that the Tigers were a cohesive mix, and although we have stars aplenty, and there were demonstrable efforts for most of the match, they had the wood on us. There is something special about that bond - and it can only get better for us while we stay longer in this comp.

Monty good, Powell not only walks like Kell, but has great skills. Schmidtty worked hard. I could go on, but I'm sure lizz will sum it all up perfectly in the report. Everyone had a good crack.

The other bonus of these games is being able to mosy up to the huddle during the small breaks. Fantabulous. At 3/4 time Roosy, who had stayed out of the way for most of the match, stepped in to the huddle and virtually whispered some words to the boys. I was straining to catch the words .. but whatever was said, you can be sure it was quietly inspiring. Just didn't quite get them over the line .. this time ...
