The thing I enjoyed the most about our win over the Roos

The thing I enjoyed the most is the fact that 15 minuets into the first 1/4 , and being about 25 points down and looking by far the lesser team, some how this Swans team regrouped and turned the game completly around, with out having to wait for the quarter time spray from the coaches - in order to begin the implementation of their game plan.
In other words, the boys found the necessary volition and inspiration within themselves, during the actual game, to go on and turn the game. A sign of a well coached and very confidant team that has gelled together.
This is very important to the potential of this team and speaks volumes of what they are capable of as a group. I am very very excited about our potential this season.
Also if you read the melbourne and National press(papers- I dont watch television, except for game day), no one has really noticed us yet (at least not in the way The Saints have been recognized as contenders, and the usual supects have been reognized ie: Port and Brissie !)
This is great, cos as good and as versatile as we are playing, we still have the possability of slipping under the radar !
I think the way this team is playing and the depth of the list and the brilliance of the coaching means that we may have a really good shot this year. Remember, but for a 2 point defeat to the premeirs at the "gabatoir" and we would probabley be being appraised above Saint kilda at this early stage of the seasone, considering that our wins have come over teams higher on the ladder than they.
It is very early days I know but I think this is the best Swans team I have seen and I am looking forward to seasone 2004 very very much!
    thank you.

Only now are they starting to play to the level of ability they showed at the end of the last season. Let's see how they improve.

Unfortunately the coaching staff of the other 15 teams will know well and good what we are capable of, so they will be taking us seriously.

Damnit, I was the medis pumping us up.

        We've earnt it

the thing i enjoyed the most about yesterday's game was ball, doyle and james are all in the same side at once

and that there was room for LRT despite c bolton, saddington, goodes, the above injury-prone-three and hall all in the side

roos' move of doyle to the ruck, LRT to CHB and saddington at FF; shows that not only has he created a winning gameplan but is not set in his ways and likes to mix it up a bit

A fit Doyle is a massive positive as it frees Goodes to roam the ground.

If Ball and Doyle both stay fit, Goodes will back to back the Brownlow !

Not necessarily, but he may add a different medal to his collection

Whatever happened to the idea of playing Goodes at CHB?

If Doyle and Ball can hold down the ruck, maybe its an option now.

But isnt it better letting him run free so that the opposition coach has to have a brain failure trying to match up on him instead of vice-versa.

                    Yeah, probably.

But if James hurt himself tommorrow, suddenly we've got no 'traditional style' KPP backmen again. I'd like to see Goodes tried at CHB just so he has that experience.

BTW if his 'goal of the year' yesterday is anything to go by he might kick a few from CHB anyway

It may be good playing Goodes at CHB as Neitz is there only really top Kp Forward.

I agree though, it would be better to have Goodes roam the ground.

With Goodes, I think the best option is for him to play a position created especially for him - Floating Menace. It's sort of like a ruck-rover, except more lethal to the opposition and more apt to cause migraines in the opposition coaching staff.

His goal of the year against the Roos yesterday is just one example of how the Floating Menace position is played.

As for the Kangaroos' game, the Goodes' goal was one highlight, Saddo's game as a forward was another.
