Don't be too narrow in your thinking about Neitz. There are now a lot of other melbourne players that can hurt you kicking goals.

Of the taller players there is Holland, Bruce and Miller out there as well now. Miller is not a good kick but he still wins a lot of the ball. Bruce kicked 4 last week and holland now offers a viable alternative to Neitz. And then there is Davey......... Good luck matching up on the Flash.

One very big thing in the Swanies favour is the shape of the ground. The lack of pockets will not favour a leading forward.

Thing is, in recent games none of them has really done much against us. In last year's ANZAC day game, I think 10 or 11 of your goals came from the 'talls'. Players like Vardy (who I know is injured anyway at the moment), Green, even Robertson, have never done that much against us. It usually seems to be that if we can hold Neitz to 4 or 5 we can hold the Dees to a losing score.

Obviously that could all change this week...

No disrespect to Davey - he looks like a fine prospect - but we have a player who regularly tames the likes of Farmer, Akermanis, Milne and has probably been the most consistently good Swan so far this season.

I think you will find that Melbourne's forward setup is very different to last season. We have additional tall players up there now with Holland and Miller doing their bit. Bruce up there as an additional target and those four will begin to stretch any defence for height.

I am still concerned about how we will play the ground up forward in particular.

I think Roos is getting a little overexcited about Saddington

ok so he booted 4 goals in one game. Does Roosy know that Cameron bruce booted 4 last week? And has booted bags of 5 and 6 before

I'm sure Roos knows that. But what's your point?

My point is that if Saddingotn cancels out Neitz at one end, then Bruce will just cancel out Barry Hall at the other end

Fine by me. We also have Adam Goodes, Nick Davis, Ryan O'Keefe, Paul Williams, Jason Ball who have kicked "bags" of four in the past. Shame that O'Loughlin and Schauble will be sitting in the grandstand watching.

But that's all a bit irrelevant really, isn't it?

I am so excited about watching Nicky D play in this game.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time
