I won't be going this weekend as I have quite a few other things on... But I'll make the drive to Canberra when we play north in a couple of months.
177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

So Sydney plays in Canberra later in the year? You beauty! Talk about copping flack for being a Swannies supporter here........although I don't live in Canberra, I work there and socialise there a lot and they are right into their AFL. It sort of goes Union/AFL neck a neck, and League a poor third.
I found a large, vibrant red Swans watch in the local Woolies kids section, and gave it to hubby. Huge and comparatively ugly as watches go, he is very proud of it, and cops all the ribbing sweet as we wait patiently for the season to begin.
Sending an email after someone's replied to your thread is very exciting! Love it!

Does anyone know if sydney will play their last practice match in melbourne after the canberra one ?
It better be the case, cause we havent seen the boys all year and it is our turn.
If we dont get it down here it will be absolute bulldust.

I was out at the SCG at the Shield game today, and was told by a couple of SCG people that the game next week is definately on. It'll be on the Saturday, not sure what time.
Also had a quick look at the Swans training while I was there - good to see Nick Davis doing a full session and not feeling any ill effects from it.
