I'll ay it again, for whoever from teh Swans or the AFL reads this forum.
I know there will be times when Fox Footy will be the only place for Victorians to watch a game.
When this happens, all we ask is radio coverage.
Personally, I may well miss this game like i did the Geelong game, simply because I couldn't be bothered organising friends to travel to a pub to see it.
Oh, and another point, for the love of God, Swans and AFL, post a list of the pubs who telecast Fox Footy for us.
The least you can do if you want us to watch...

I got great responces from both the AFL and the Swans when I wrote to them.
Firstly, the AFL controls the broadcast rights, so the man on the moon rection is bs from them.
Things have improved.
The last two seasons before this we had to wait until round 3 to see the Swans play.
Last year that included practise matches.
And when it wasn't on TV, it usually wasn't on radio.
So things are better, but they can be much better considering that the AFL and the Swans both regard themselves are professional organisiations.
I'm sure Foxtel would be happy to provide a regularly updates list of venues to see the games if it meant more people would be watching their network.
Very basic stuff.
They want us to watch?
Tell us where to watch.

I am sure the Swans asked the AFL for more games in Melbourne before the draw was put together, but were obviously knwcked back.
I guess that scenario didn't fit into the friendly draw the AFL likes to give Collingwood every year (only 1 trip to Perth etc).

Mate, I know you mean well, but it's so easy to mean well when it doesn't affect you.
Do people here realise how much it costs for Vic fans to go to 6 games? For that sixth game, we're talking:
- Tickets to match
- Travel, be it by road, rail or air
- Accomodation
- Food
It can quite easily approach $300.

Here it is again...
And if you want to blame someone for the lack of Vic games, I'd be looking at the Swans rather than the AFL.
IIRC 6 games in Melb was request #3 on a list were the first 2 requesta are gaurenteed
Yeah, mate, I realise that. I've been arguing that the Swans aren't being coercive enough... that they could be doing more than simply putting in the request and saying 'well, we did ask...'
I guess when you get 12 games, plus a nice little day trip down the highway for a 13th, you don't realise how few 5 really is.
