    Bernie Evans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great to see the great man back in Sydney gear, having suffered ending his career at The Scum.

Me fav when I was a kid, loved Bernie.

Was going to grow up to be a relaxed suburban Accountant until him leaving us left me bitter & twisted. Broke my heart at the time. Still hate CArlton for it (let alone D-R-J and Diesel)

OH well, loved seeing him in the Swans merchandise catalogue.

    What a player!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't ban those who supported your opponent, you make them wallow in their loserdom by covering your victory! You sit them in the front row. You give them a hat! Toby Ziegler

Never got over it. Used to want to throw up every time I saw him in The Scum jumper.

Spewing I missed him on GOM.

Was an amazing player when you are a kid, quick, amazing goals...........sounds a bit like Nick Davis.......... All time fav without a doubt.

Heart warming to see him back at The Swans. Better go get some of the gear he has.................

      What a player.

Not a patch on The Hyphen.

Rhys was the superstar of the time.

Finally someone who was as shattered as me .I swore and declared to one of my mates that if Bernie Evans ever left the swans that I would barrack for the team he went to . Imagine my surprise when the next season he was linning up for Carlton and to make matters worse my mate was a Carlton supporter I think I went around like a bear with a sore head for 12 months that's how shattered I was.

Having said that I wore number 15 all during my football career from juniors to seniors just because it used to be bernie's number and I became rather superstitious about the number

I can remember a few years back when I had a year off to recover from a few niggly injuries. My local club tried to sway me back into the fold by offering me the senoir captaincy. I said to the coach I would gladly take on the captaincy role but if I can't play in the old number 15 I wouldn't be playing, that just how superstitious I was

Have to agree with this one. Another vote for D-R-J
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline
We watched him fade before our very eyes, and years before his time

Bernie for mine, he was my first 'favourite' at the Swans until Bayes'y started. I feel he was much more of a Stewie than a Davis, but a great player from a South family.

I am sorry I seemed to have missed the link why has Bernie suddenly cropped up?
Sports do not build character. They reveal it....Heywood Broun

I always turn to the sports pages first, which record people's accomplishments. The front page has nothing but man's failures......Earl Warren

Possibly only to Melb basaed members, they have sent a merchandise catalogue. The players in the gear are Morwood, Round, Skilton & Bernie Evans .

My all time fav.....Bernie was is and always will be the greatest.

                      DR J is just delusional

Besides I'm sure Cher - possibly with support from Anniswan will tell us that in the 80s Bernie was a spunk.

                      What a player!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, it was shocking it took me at least 7 or 8 years to recover.

But my therapist tells me I'm doing very well these days
