    Terry Wallace tonight

I know it is just one man's opinion but some of you may be interested to know that Terry Wallace said on the Grybus Foxtel programme tonight that he believes Sydney is the team most likely to beat Brisbane for this years flag. He doesn't think this will be the Saints year.

    I hope he is right.

I agree with him, but it's not something we should be focussing on imo. All the old cliches are right: one match at a time, depending on injuries etc.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)

      Injuries.

      ...and depth.

Sure we may have more of the later than ever before, but we haven't got 26 premiership players on our list (like Brisbane).

Plough was very liberal in his praise of the Swans this year. I just hope he isn't going out of his way to try and seem like a nostradamus.

He is definitely hanging his hat on the Swans as the force to be reckoned with in 2004.

I hope it is based on a thorough pre-season analysis of our list, draw and game plan. Only then should we really get pumped by Plough's Words of Wisdom.

When you think about it though, Plough said:

Lions - definite champs and can do it again
Saints - said they weren't quite ready in 2004
Pies - list is too shallow
Port - the clock has ticked past their due date
Eagles - injuries and poor away record is not good enough
Freo - see a combination of Saints and Eagles
        Crows - over cooked
Dons - not as good as they think they are
Dees - not good enough under pressure
Roos - awkward size list, found wanting in the ruck

Maybe Plough does have a point!

He also said we challenge Brisbane like no other team in the competition can and does (paraphrased), and nominated Paul Roos as his coach of the round last weekend.

Plough is a very wise man
