Pity about Luke but he was the most likely to be dropped.

Good to see Davis is back. What about Magic? Anyone know how he is fairing with the hammy?

Is Davis picked to play or is he going to have to pass a fitness test again?

I think Davis will play. He was mighty close to playing last week, but wasnt risked because he was a bit sore after Wednesday's training.

Hoping Magic comes back next week against the Bombers. Will we get Schauble for that game to match up on Lloyd? Not sure if he will be made to have a run in the twos or if hes an automatic selection in the firsts.

You'd have to worry about his fitness after 5-6 weeks off with a hammy. I'd reckon at least a week in the ressies, probably two.

                      I would say

                      Micky, yes.
                      Schauble, yes.

                      both depending on fitness.
I knew him as a gentle young man, I cannot say for sure the reasons for his decline

Whilst ya cant believe everything a coach says (even Roosey) he did say on Melbourne radio earlier this week that Schaubs was 2-3 weeks away...and I can only imagine that meant at least a game or two in the reserves

I'm sure we can get away with Magic playing in bursts off the bench whilst regaining fitness. Without trying to sound harsh, even when on the field and fully fit, he tends to play in bursts anyway.

However I can see no way that Schauble will just regain a spot in the top side without a game or two or three in the ressies to gain some fitness. It's not as if we are struggling down back anyway. Of course injuries may play a part and he may get a spot if we get desperate, but hopefully it won't come to that.

Do you realise that Schauble, plaudits or not, is simply one of the most effective key defenders in the league?

He is, imo, in our top five in terms of importance.
