    Footy Show

Could they have made a lesser deal of the Swans-Melbourne match??

They did 2 of the 3 Anzac Day games together (Bombers/Pies and Dockers/Cats) and for some reason forgot about ours.....

Don't get too upset about that. It is typical of TFS. If you are not one of the "powerhouse" teams, then they just give the teams and move on.

Mind you with 3 wins out of 8 games(LOL) between them, Coll V Ess must be a blockbuster worth talking about, this year.

As opposed to 2 struggling teams who have only won their LAST THREE GAMES EACH!!

That is why I don't bother with "The Collingwood Footy Show" anymore.

Maybe its a case of "Out of sight, out of mind" for Eddie and the boys?

I usually never watch the Footy Show, but I have for the last three weeks. It is all orchestrated to get the headlines and the bias towards big Victorian clubs like the Colliwobbles is extraordinary. I only like watching to yell at Eddie.

The same thing can be said of 'Talking Footy'. Apart from the Goodes goal, there was absolutely NOTHING mentioned about the Swans. I usually find the energy the stay up til 1:30/2am and still get in to work on time, but it really isnt worth my time anymore.

The Eddie Show last night devoted the last 5 minutes to "squeeze" in some analysis on the Swans v Melbourne Anzac clash, and even then it was Clint Bizzell talking about fruit sponsors and wiping banana off his face.

All of these are reasons why On the Couch is the best Footy analysis show going around...unfortunately its only for those who have Foxtel.

              Is Eddie anti- national competition?

You could probably make that argument.

But then you could make many many arguments about Eddie and his bias'

What's the bet that when Sydney play the Wobbles it's one of the first 3 reviewed?

He says he follows the fixture with the games.
              I don't think so.
And leaving Sydney vs Melb to be one of the last reviewed when it is potentially the game of the round is a joke.

You know hwat will happen to Eddie?

Exactly what happend to Ray Martin and to a lesser extent Daryl Sommers.
People will eventually grow tired and turn on him.
              I await that day

Considering it will be the only game on that weekend you'd hope we get a fair bit of airtime!!

Maybe it will be 90% Collingwood 10% Swans.

That will at least go a small way to redressing the other 21 weeks of neglect the Collingwood Show has shown towards us.

or more likely 90% Collingwood, 7% Sam, 2% Bolger and 1% Swans

I can't remember even knowing about the AFL Footy Show before last year, and since then I've only seen one show - the one before our preliminary final last year. I think Sam came and did Street Talk in Sydney or something. I turned it on last night, and FFS someone needs to sack Newman. I think the trouble is that the football content is lacking, but it's not funny either, so it pretty much has nothing going for it.

The Fox Footy shows, bar LWF, are all pretty good. Don't mind White Line Fever and On The Couch, but League Teams on Thursday nights is the best, I think. Equal time given to each game, and the guys seems to have some insightful (and some not) things to say. I like hearing what Schwatta has to say especially.

So yeah, 'get Fox Footy!' was the whole point of this post

I would love to get Fox Footy but @@@@*** Foxtel refuse me.
Something to do with the fact that my address is technically a unit
and they dont install in units

but its only a unit because one house was knocked down and four smaller townhouses built...we are each a small house in our own right

sorry to whinge...but this is a gripe of mine because I want to get Fox Footy

Brisbane and Hawthorn are playing for the Rodney Eade smashed telephone. Mike Sheahan cracked a smile and the look on Schwatta's face was just priceless.

TFS has gone from bad to worse, and Talking Footy's not far behind. I've given up on both.
He reminds him of the guys, close-set, slow, and never rattled, who were play-makers on the team. (John Updike, seeing Josh Kennedy in a crystal ball)
